I’ve been holding off on making this decision for a couple of weeks, on the hopes that I’d misread recent canon, but nope.

TL:DR, Wilford has been retconned into oblivion. Not just in that it messed with my own idea, but his entire fricking name has changed and the way his world works has been turned totally upside down.

So, at this point, Wilford’s gone totally AU from canon, because I have frankly no idea what the hell to do with any of this. I’ve already been struggling on figuring out how to use other stuff that came out this year but now it’s veered off into totally un-useable.

So, yeah. Uh. If you follow the videos he’s from, I may be using elements from new canon as it comes up, but I just can’t with Wilford being called William now.

I think if I'd tried to make the new stuff work, that's exactly what would have happened. Because I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with a Victorian army colonel called William, who was driven mad by a house demon. \o/
