Creative Minds Unite!!!

So guys,

I believe I have a green light from at least Bing on the Art thing. The general idea is to pair a writing type artist with a visual artist and create 25 bits of art for Advent. I know that not everyone celebrates Christmas, but it still might be fun for those of us that do. I mean I would prefer if we kept it more secular and less religious.

On the grounds of rules, please keep it safe for work. Basically this is similar to the 3 rules for our pups-despite how many of the break it for fun- no nudity, no sex, please keep the gore to a minimum. You know, so, like I can work on the art while I am at my lunch break, just in case one of the kids happens to find their way behind me. I also, know that many of you actually do a lot of Milliways stuff while at work or around kids. Don't get me wrong I actually do like some nudity in my art, just not in this art challenge.

I think we need a little more planning, but essentially I think I should ask who wants to be in on it. If we don't get enough people for the full 25 days, we can double or tripple up. Once we get the submissions, then it is a matter of posting on the day as part of the holiday season. I know it is way too early to be thinking Christmas, but in order for some fun crazy stuff to happen, we do need to plan. If you wanna plan this with me you can send me a PM, tag here, or who knows get me in chat. (I know I look offline, but it's a lie)

I like this idea but I think getting fifty participants might be a little bit ambitious. However to start the dialogue, I have a couple of things:

1. What are we going to do with the art? Will it be sent to you and then you post one a day?

2. Rather than pairing a writing type with an art type, since everyone is a writer here, why not have people submit simple prompts for others to pick from? E.g. a scary pup in a Santa hat, someone eating too many candy canes.

3. How much warning will we get to produce the picture?

I would be happy to draw one picture but cannot commit to more than one due to time pressures.

I think these are great points. For myself, I like the idea of this but my connection to my muse is so random, I hesitate to commit to anything more than one thing.

I almost wonder if a lists of prompts, to be filled as how the person signed up for sees fit (i.e. writing or art or whatever really) might not be a good way to do this.

Like 25 prompts, and go from there.
