So as per this, there's now a 26th-century encyclopedia floating around the bar; it looks like this on the outside, this on the inside, and uses a combination of touch-screen and voice recognition to search through the mountains of data. The metal rods on the left side can be slotted into the book's spine to access whatever's on them -- in this case, from top to bottom: Medical Science, Universal Encyclopedia (this spot'll be empty, since that particular module's already been loaded into the spine), Anatomical Engineering, Bio-Physical Atlas, Human History, and Languages.
If anybody (and I do mean anybody!) wants to stumble across it and/or use it to wreak some mild havoc, go for it...though to prevent unwarranted canon-puncturing, let's say that any files that might reference somebody's home canon as a book, TV show, what-have-you were mysteriously erased when Wash stepped through the door, and will just as mysteriously reappear when he's back home. Ah, Millilogic.
(Mods, if you think this'll end up causing any major problems, just thwap me, and I'll have Wash find the encyclopedia in his back pocket or something. *sheepish*)
