Advent Day 3!

So, I'm a bit late on this guy, life and friends happened.
I have always loved cocoa, well, not all cocoa, I never liked Mexican cocoa till I was much older. There was something about the cinnamon in it that I never really liked. Now, I love the stuff. I was introduced to the Abuelita brand cocoa by Tom's mom, and it is my favorite. And it is so nice on a cold day, or when your camping, or just when life just kicks your ass, but it is also so quintessentially this holiday time of year-no matter which one you celebrate.

So, without further ado here is one by Kate!

Mexican Hot Chocolate

Cassian closed his eyes as he tasted the hot chocolate, it was richer and creamier than he was used to. Then opened his eyes to see Sombra looking smug, she often looked like a tooka cat who caught something, but this was more than usual, “What did you put in this?”

“A family secret, but it’s the best you’ve ever had?” As she said it, Cassian thought one of her implants even glowed extra.

“Yes, that’s why I want to know. I won’t tell anyone, but I’ll make it for you,” She liked when he cooked for her.

Sombra laughed and booped his nose, “No, no, my dear spy. You don’t get my secrets, you’d use them to learn things. I can’t have that. Drink your hot chocolate.”

He smiled, he had no idea what she saw him in or when she’d get bored of him, but he’d enjoy every moment he could.

Hot cocoa with marshmallows

Claire gave her hot chocolate a long look, the marshmallows seemed to be shaped like little stethoscopes, “Bar?”

Before the counter could provide an answer, Matt sat down and a mug of hot chocolate appeared before him. Claire leaned over and saw that his had boxing glove shaped marshmallows and giggled, “Claire? What’s so funny?”

She looked him over, no new bruises and he wasn’t holding himself gingerly, positive signs for him, “Bar is having fun with marshmallows, mine are stethoscopes, yours are boxing gloves.”

With his spoon, he reached in and isolated one before tracing its shape, “Do they taste different?”

“No, they’re good,” Claire shifted to rest on his shoulder, “I like her sense of humor.”

Spiked hot chocolate

“What did you put in that?” Cassidy could actually feel the burn hidden in the chocolate. His answer was a grinning napkin, “Fine don’t tell me. I’ll figure it out. I’ve got a nose for booze.”

It had to be booze because she wouldn’t do drugs. He took another long sip as Bernard flopped down on a seat beside, “What’re you drinking?”

“Spiked hot chocolate, ask her to make you some,” Bernard would like the hit.

“Cocoa with booze? Yes, I’ll do that,” Another mug appeared, the smell of it was slightly different but Bernard was human. Bernard raised his mug to Cassidy, “Happy Christmas!”

“Happy Christmas, mate,” If the holidays in Milliways meant strong drink in hot cocoa, this could work.
