Monday DE: Nice shirt

I know it's a holiday for a lot of us, so an easy and fun topic for today. Also, since it's a holiday, feel free to answer at any time this week,

Moving on, as suggested by [personal profile] configuration_birdwatcher :

Overwatch has Legendary skins for each character, which dramatically change their look while leaving a few visual elements intact for recognition's sake. Canonical examples include Sombra and Junkrat's beachwear skins, Gabe/Reaper's vampire, plague doctor and Headless Horseman skins, and Bastion's steampunk and anthropomorphic-vehicle skins, as well as other characters being reimagined as pirates, biker gang members, post-apocalyptic scavengers, a classic-monster-movie mad scientist and the monster he created, extreme sports athletes, masked vigilantes, police officers, sentai heroes, and many other things. What would your pup's Legendary skins turn them into?

Hmm. Sahaal's legendary skins would be:
- Baroque skin, where his armour becomes much more ornate, with brass and metalwork everywhere.

- Carribbean Inlet skin, which has him in a Hawaiian shirt, shorts, sandals and holding a margarita.

- Ultimate Grimdark skin. This one is basically a heavy metal album cover, with more flaming skulls and esoteric runes than should be physically possible.

I love it. (Reinhardt has somewhat similar skins in Overwatch, actually -- excepting the beachwear, to the considerable disappointment of many fans -- but his gothed-out armor is more spiky than flaming-skull-y.)
configuration_birdwatcher: In-game spray art of Bastion's gun arm by itself with moss growing on it and a pink flower stuffed into the barrel. (flower power)

Specifically, Bastion has two different skins for each of those themes; for steampunk there's one where they're made out of wood and kind of remind me of an antique organ (and have a slightly more anthropomorphic face), and one where they're made out of metal with a distinct steam-pipe look (either corroded or not, there's two color options). For vehicles, they can be either a dune buggy or a snowmobile. The snowmobile skin also gives them a beanie to wear, which perches amusingly on top of them when they're in sentry or tank mode and can't just wear it on their head.

So, Aradia then! One of her legendary skins would be an Indiana Jones outfit for sure. Maybe a Dia de los Muertos skin as well?

Hmmm. Baze definitely has a beach wear skin, with a "Sun's Out, Guns Out" tanktop and shorts. A secondary option for beach wear would be him in the buff, but who wants to see that?

He'd also have a skin with him in Guardian robes, and now him in his usual armor. I'm not sure what his weapons would be.

Ooooh, yessss! How could I forget the Scarif shirts?

This is amazing.

Gabriel just wants it to be known that he made his Headless Horseman costume, thank you very much, and would like you to all be impressed by this.
inlovewithwords: Milliways roster: Lois Lane (teen, Gwenda Bond books); Tavi (Codex Alera); Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader and R2-D2 (Star Wars); Evelyn Trevelyan (Dragon Age: Inquisition); Eriond (Belgariad/Mallorean) (Milliways roster 2017)

Eriond: mostly you get a glow.

Evelyn: There is that terrible formalwear I am declaring noncanon in favor of some awesome fanart someone showed me once...

Lois: . . . probably the time she gets superpowers and puts on some version of Superfam uniform.

Tavi: I vaguely feel like making a joke about the awful gold tunic he's forced into wearing for his confirmation and again at his wedding.

R2: He's not covered in carbon scoring and has booster rockets. (... so... prequel-era, I guess?)

Anakin: Vader.

Amascut has skins for days! She is the one god in her videogame that actually changes costume regularly, even to the point that her skin tone and hair color vary from disguise to disguise, but it is always, at least, femme, a red-head of some sort (varies from light strawberry blonde to auburn to pink to straight up red), and very light brown skin and well into black, especially in fan art. But which ones qualify as legendary? Hmm... I guess Pirate Queen, Nun, Dungeon Raider, AmasCat, Maned AmasCat, Days of the Dead Goddess, DragonBall Goddess of Destruction, Golden Goddess, Crime Boss, Solar/Nuclear Warrior, Mah's Toy (ultra creepy), and I'll throw in a Red Beetle costume in just for fun.

SKINS FOR DAYS

Fairy Fixit.... hmmmm.... Empress Fixit, which gives her six wings instead of her usual two and a blue dress instead of her usual green and brown overalls. Actual Moth of Unusual Size would be a nice one, and maybe Hornet of Unusual Size too, Infested (looking like a mini flying Cordyceps Zombie out of The Last of Us games), and Toothbeast

Late response to this but I liked the question then never seemed to have the time for it.

Cassian wears various outfits in canon so his skins would be variations on those-the undercover Imperial one, the snow one with his blue parka, the Rebel officer would be his base. In terms of a sillier one, I love the link to the scarif shirts.

Quentin would have the dressed up for court skin, very medieval looking, the teen boy skin with interchangeable shirts with sayings and the Canadian skin involving a jacket in Canadian colors.

Charles would have skins to match various outfits from the comics.

Ivan has a skin for his uniforms-dressed down, kind of dressed up and twin swords formal.

William and Will don't have as many options.

Sameth would have normal skin of his working outfit then dressed up in his surcoat.

Moist would have so many depending on whichever role he's playing.

Demeter has Spring and Winter skins with one younger and one older.

Tumnus has different scarves.
