Hi, guys!

So, I'm running a plot, but it might require more audience participation than usual. I'm having an infestation of kobolds show up in the bar, and they are sneaky, sneaky thieves. They prefer shinies, and Things Which Look Important, like jewelry. If you want, they can even pick locks and get access to people's rooms to take things.

The items will be missing for a week--Saturday, January 20th to Saturday, January 27th--after which a den will be found in the forest, where the kobolds have drooled upon and shed scales upon and hoarded all the stuff. In addition to the items being taken, there's a 'let us band together and get rid of these fiends' element.

The kobolds will preferably not be seen for a few days, after which they can be tracked to the den at the end of the week. All of the items will be recovered.

I will be lurking around with a kobold journal (

steals_yo_stuff) and can tag in wherever requested. By all means, comment on this post whenever you want a tag! Please use "Kobold Plot" as your post titles. Thanks!

ETA: Bar is now in on the plot! Any notes given to her will go directly to the kobolds.

Khadgar has many magical trinkets they may find interesting and/or useful. There's the stone that sets all the things on fire, the stone that freezes all the things, the hearthstone he's going to craft, the goblin jumper cables, potions of various effects...

His staff, fortunately, is rather plain otherwise they could get into some real trouble with that.

Awesome! Whatever you want them to have stolen is completely up to you. I can tag in to steal things, or you can simply have an EP where he's missing the items.

I think I can actually have Izana play this. If things like tech would appeal to them, Izana can even have things stolen.

Nice! If the tech is shiny, I'm sure they'd take whatever they could. Things with exposed circuit boards are certainly shiny!

Their tech is more holographic things projected with glass. So glowing? Like a tablet that Tony Stark would have in Avengers.

Ohhh. Well, that's shiny, too. I can absolutely see them trying to steal that sort of thing. No guarantees about it getting returned without slobber.

Actually, I think if mayhem is on the cards, Izana wouldn't fit very well. They come from a very lawful society and would stand up to those who want to murder the kobolds.

Scrapper on the other hand seems more for this, though it's like throwing an epic level character at a first level dungeon. She will likely leave if things get slaughtery and anyone stealing her drinking money is going to get her involved. =)

Someone needs to stand up against murdering the kobolds! It might as well be Izana.

Dunno if Graverobber's zydrate gun would count as something shiny (you can see a photo of it here), but if it got stolen, Graverobber would be piiiiiiiiiiiissed.

Yeah, that absolutely counts as something shiny. If you want it stolen, by all means have it end up missing!

So there's a very valuable crown hidden in one of the vents in Sahaal's room. In his novel, it's really, really important to him, but in Millicanon, he hasn't done much with it. I've been looking to work into his plots for some time, so getting it stolen would be perfect.

I say this, because if it got stolen, I hope everyone would be okay with him tearing apart the den and possibly occupants to find it. It wouldn't be pretty.

Stealing a crown, they can do! Like everyone else, Sahaal would have to go through several traps to find the den, most of which his armor would render him impervious to, so more annoying than anything.

Yeah, that's the thing about power armour, it tends to chest. What sort of traps are you thinking of, or do you want that to be a surprise?

Definitely a surprise, though there are only so many ways one can build a trap in the forest!

... The is a neglected outdoor superhero obstacle course up in the mountains/forest that hasn't gotten much use plotwise beyond its initial construction by Don's and my pups. You know, giant circular saws, boulders rolling in out of nowhere, swinging log traps,that sort of thing.

The kobolds are free to cannibalize it or take it over. There are caches of wooden swords,spears, warhammers, and daggers here and there, and a few bronze, iron, and steel versions which are harder to find.

Not too hard to find, though. Amascut being Amascut, she is just fine with people hurting themselves and didn't take many precautions >:3 Well, besides alarm/medical emergency wristbands near the trapeze and tightrope, but...

I will ponder what to offer for them to actually steal, but I'm just picturing a bunch of kobolds attempting to steal Mjölnir and failing, while (depending on what's funnier and how advanced the plot is) Thor either doesn't notice or just serenely drinks across the room. *grin*

If people end up leaving notes for Security, or notes from Security members to Security at large, can the kobolds also steal them? So people who want to get involved can, but I don't have to keep X out of the bar for the entire week?

If they're up on the notice board, they could take the nice shiny tacks and then the notes fall away.

Absolutely the kobolds can steal those, too! I don't want to prevent you from playing. If the mods say yes, even Bar can be in on it.

ETA: And Bing got back to me lightning quick to say that Bar is!
