Non-Milliways Crack Rumor Announcement

OK. So there's mixed reactions to the Hellboy movie. I'm sure there will be mixed reactions to the Hellboy sequel.

But, and this is important, do not judge these movies on the basis of "are they true to Hellboy comics?"

Judge them by the concept of a Horror Epic Series of Movies Big-Toe-Dipping-Into-The-Cold-Waters.

Rumor has it on the Lovecraftian circuit that the director is in talks with the major monster-magic studios . . .

To make . . .

"At the Mountains of Madness."

I watched the Hellboy movie prior to reading the comics, and feel that it's as accurate a representation as any geek could hope for from Hollywood. *fears rumored Fables TV show*

It worked well as a horror movie, but it sets off my spidey sense that they're thinking of adapting 'At the Mountains of Madness'. I just don't think it *can* be adapted. Anything less than something that causes a portion of the audiance to lose their minds would somehow seem underdone . . .

Celine Dionne doing the opening theme, at the very least.
