Friday DE: Flash Fic
1. Post in listing the pups you'd like to write for.
2. Get prompts.
3. Write something, anything, based on the prompt if it inspires. And I do mean anything. If a poem strikes you, write it. A haiku? Go for it. A sentence, sure. A paragraph, of course.
4. Repeat.
I will try to give prompts as I can, but this works best if more than one person is giving them.
[ETA: Also, in reading Crack Chat, I was reminded of a bit of erranta regarding the IMDB flu plot. Before the All-pocalypse, I had Jessica Drew get the flu and Amascut-mun and I had the flu mutate due to Jessica's energy powers to infect a robot. I think it was a LMD of Amascut, but I could be wrong. Anyway, long story short, there is precedent for robots to get the flu if you want.]

Prompt!
Scrapper: Saturday Night Fights

Don't get me wrong, I sort of liked her last comic, and really loved her new costume, but the tone felt a little off and I didn't like how it ended.

It's been too long since she's had a good fight...and if the kree felt like it after, maybe they could get a drink and Scrapper could see if the woman was as good in the bed as she was in the ring.

And, EEE! This is great! Thank you! This says so much about her. I really need to tag Scrapper sometime, because I love what you're doing with her.

ETA: Actually, this ficlet might make the nice backbone to an EP.

Haha, I'm glad it inspired! :D

She came out of the fugue to the crowd booing. Looking around, she saw she'd won, as if there'd been any other outcome. At five to one, the fight was over when it started. Still, she'd failed to give them a show and that wouldn't do.
She carefully avoided thinking about how she lost herself or what may have happened while she was gone.

Nah, you are right, hard-light holograms from the X-Men Danger Room are practically LMDs anyhow, especially after Jordan Kennedy started messing with them and made them more mobile? Oh god, Milliways enables such silly things.
Addendum: I just learned the hard-light holograms were Shi'ar tech added to the Danger Room by Hank McCoy. :D

(I hope Hank gets to play with Shi'ar tech in the upcoming movie.)

So no mater what - or who - he's tracking is going to meet with a rough end, because he never gives up and he never stops until the prey is his.

This is great, thank you for writing it.

The key is going without other people. Completely without other people. Like, after the theater shuts down and everyone's left and the lights are out because the janitor went home. Because once they've all left and closed the doors behind them there is no way anybody outside is going to see the lights come up in the projectionist's booth. He just has to thread the film properly and keep an eye on the sound switches, and as long as he's got his hand on the projector he can watch anything they've got at a speed he can tolerate.
"My name is H.G. Wells. I came here in a time machine of my own construction. I am pursuing Jack the Ripper, who escaped into the future in my machine..."
Waiting for the VCR to be invented is for chumps.

Demeter: spring thaw
Cassian: building trust
Dangerous ground
Cassian's learned to never expect trust, creating it takes time and he does his best to never promise more than he can give. His life is full of hopes destroyed by the Empire, he trusts in Kay, blasters, what he knows he can do and what he knows the Rebellion can do.
Re: Dangerous ground
Aww, Cassian! It's of course practical and smart for him to limit who/what he trusts in, given what he does and where he's at, but it also leaves him rather alone and that's sad. *hugs him*

Safe
The child smiled at him and he returned it while he scanned the rooftops for snipers and listened for patrols. He would be her hope because he'd seen the Pathfinders liberate the rest of the Wookies. His mission had been different but today he could get a child safe.

I love this.
