Monday DE: Up, Up, Down, Down

 I play Avengers Academy, a video game for mobile devices. One of my favorite characters is Spider-Woman, who has an emote, or action, where she leans against a bookcase in the library and gets a bunch of books stuck to her because of her powers. She then sighs dramatically and sets about returning the books to the shelf.

If your pup were in a video game, what would your favorite emote for them be? For those who already have video game pups, what is you favorite emote, or what is one you'd make up for them?

Ahsoka: In Galaxy of Heroes she already has a flying dervish of death emote/attack, but I can also see something like her throwing a saber into the air, doing a pirouette, and then catching the saber behind her back; like a baton twirler or color guard.

Sabine: Spinning her guns before holstering them. She already does this in canon, so it's only fair for the video game. A salute before explosions could be fun as well.

Sam Wilson: I'm seeing some thing like an end zone dance after a nice take down, or some aerial acrobatics.

Hank: Maybe a series of flips and then he hangs upside down on something.

Scrapper: Pulls a bottle from under her cape and drinks it all in one go. Maybe burps after.

Tybalt: Examines his nails/claws as if looking for dirt and then looking into the camera with the same expression. (He also has a legendary skin that is Romance Pirate themed and he's wearing skin tight leather pants.)

I'll have to think on Danny and Izana.

My favorite Reaper emote is his Cackle. He puts serious effort into it to make it as dramatic as possible. Take A Knee also holds a special place in my heart because that's the one I first noticed the smoking effect, that he always has little wisps coming off him. Linked image a wisp can be seen coming off the corner of his cloak (and that's also one of my favorite Reaper skins).

Gabe's best emote is Shrug. Because that face.

Khadgar's best emote is definitely his shit-eating grin while he gives you a thumbs up. He usually does this right before he sends you to do something extremely dangerous that will probably kill you. Have fun storming the citadel, adventurer!

I love both Shrug and Cackle. I was hoping he'd get a Thriller dance for the anniversary dance party, but it turns out he's too goth to dance.

Mercenaries that encourage the notion they are Death itself do not dance.

His Reyes skin's face looks like he's enjoying the music at least. My headcanon is that he refuses to be seen dancing anywhere near the same vicinity of 76 and his...whatever those movements are.

Wilford has a lot of good ones in Don’t Starve. He has a special buff that lasts for so many seconds and increases his damage dealt when it’s active. When you activate it, the first thing he does is tears off his shirt, which just amuses me for some reason. My favourite one is how he shittalks certain food items when you examine them, and acts like he’s going to die when you eat them. He’s such a drama queen.

Sahaal's would be unsheathing his claws and watching the lightning play across them, or leaping into the air on his jump pack and using his foot-claws to hang from the ceiling. There might be one of him tossing a grenade up and down, but I'm not sure.

I love all of Bastion's emotes, even the quietly upsetting Alert! Alert!

My actual favourite is probably their sitting emote, Rest Mode. The way they look around from their spot is really cute. Their default emote doesn't really have a title but it's charming enough that I left it equipped even after unlocking all the other emotes,and I made it their default icon here. Dizzy is basically the upgraded version of it though. And there's also the Boxing emote from the Summer Games event.

Also, everyone in Overwatch (or at least everyone who had been added before the first anniversary event, so... not Doomfist or Moira) has a dancing emote! Bastion actually has two, the Robot and the Robo-Boogie, the latter of which I'm 90% sure is a Flight of the Conchords reference. We've seen them do the Robo-Boogie, or at least a modified version of it.

I love the boxing one. It reminds me of the old Rock 'Em, Sock 'Em robots.

Yes! I've never actually played with those in real life, but I know of them.

Ugh, Runescape has so many emotes!

I don't know if I will come up with a favorite emote for Amascut but I can tell which one makes her laugh when other people do it- Tornado Teleport. Mostly because she's the only person able to make it look stylish, besides the Wicked Witch of the West from the Wizard of Oz, of course.

I can't think of anything iconic she does herself, all her appearances are just too damned varied. Well, besides comic freakouts about cats. She's an NPC, what do you expect?
But, if she were a playable character I could see her performing the Slayer master emote, the Firemaking Accomplishment emote, Cat Fight, Evil Laugh, the Innocent emote, and the No More! emote. My favorite? The firemaking one, since it is so shiny in the new graphics, for people willing to remove their nostalgia goggles.

And yes, I know particle effects are so last decade XD

Addendum the second: How did I forget the Kharidian music box dance emote? The tune that plays during that is very much "Walk Like an Egyptian" by the Bangles except it's not because of copyright maybe? Or fourth wall breakdown prevention?
