Friday DE: Pick a card

If you were to pick a Tarot card to represent your pup or their narrative, what would it be? ETA: And I'm thinking major or minor arcana, as you chose.

I’ll update later with a link to a Tarot glossary of meanings. And feel free to ask or give suggestions. I love when DEs turn into conversations.

Okay, here's the promised link. While i am passingly familiar with Tarot meanings, I don't claim to be an expert. This site seems pretty good for details and it has the least ads of the ones I've looked at.
death_gone_mad: Ruined temple of Amascut, only Amascut's shattered head remains. (ruins)

I can't pick between Judgement, Five of Wands, and Seven of Swords for Amascut, but if we are talking Major Arcana only, definately Judgement.
fairy_fixit: The teeth of Dahlver-Nar (Magical scrimshaw)

Fairy Fixit, on the other hand, is either the Knight or Seven of Pentacles

Oh man, am I up my own ass if I say Graverobber would probably be The Hanged Man?

Mainly for the symbolism of the pose (since the Hanged Man's pose is that of a criminal being punished), and the meanings of innate knowledge/letting the universe take action without your input do seem to apply to him (since he's the semi-omniscient narrator of his own canon but never does anything to interfere with the plot's course too strongly).

And now I've realized the sabacc suits (Flasks, Staves, Coins, Sabers) were obviously taken from the Tarot suits.

Besides that, I would choose Strength for Hera, and the Wheel for Kanan.

I would say Ace of Swords for Sahaal, but I know less than nothing about Tarot.

Anyone have any ideas for him?

I've always thought Emcee was the Page of Cups, but without the naivete about people, as Emcee is very savvy and often cynical. Everything else is pretty accurate, especially the creativity, being an object of desire, and wanting to please people and changing his personality to suit those around him. As for "swimming in the same emotional waters," when he throws parties, he expects everyone to enjoy themselves as much as he does, and doesn't really get why not everyone does, and I suppose his feelings do get hurt a little by that.

Cassidy is the Devil: Ego, Loss, Error, Addiction, Illusion, Disruption, Enslavement. Granted Cassidy is a lot nicer than these things, but why do you think he's so charming and friendly? He's aware of all his faults and masks them, for good or bad. Usually he doesn't mean any harm, but he ends up hurting people anyway.

Tess is the High Priestess.

Rose is Temperance.

Kylo is Death.

Creed is the reversed Emperor.

The Hannibal fandom is having a Three of Swords event at the moment because that symbol is so important to the first half of the third season.

And then, I used to have The Tower as an actual character in the bar.-

A fan artist made a beautiful art-deco-style Tarot deck of the Avengers about the time Avengers Assemble came out. Steve was Strength, which seems accurate to me. (Partial nudity, in case you're at work.) Courage, optimism, determination.

Sherlock is ... tougher to pin down than I expected. I'm going with King of Swords: clear-thinking and intellectual.

Apropos of nothing, my favorite card is the Hanging Man: flexibility, sacrifice, and rebirth.

I've seen two different fan-made Overwatch tarot decks covering the major arcana; Bastion's the Empress in the first one and the Hermit in the second. I think the Hermit's the best major arcana to represent them -- isolation from society, introspection, a search for understanding -- although the deck with the Empress card does have nice art. (I could make an argument for Strength in the context of subduing violent instincts with gentleness, but I think the Hermit works better overall.)

Garyn is the Hanged Man. Nerevar was doomed to be betrayed and murdered by his closest friends, and as Nerevarine Garyn is bound by prophecy to do what he must do. He was imprisoned under dubious circumstances and sent to Morrowind against his will. There are ties of destiny that bind him to nearly everything he does.

And yet, it is his own actions, freely chosen, that make him the Nerevarine. It is something he must choose to become - many others before him have failed or refused to do so.

Cassie is the Six of Wands. Proud and successful, but there are still challenges ahead.

I know I'm late but my internet has been down so it's taken me a while to peruse the link.

Khadgar is the Six of Wands currently.

Gabriel/Reaper are the Queen of Swords.
