Honey I Shrunk the Pups plot

Hiya, Milliways!

I'm looking to run another plot! A shrinking plot! Simply put, the kobolds stole the shrink ray from Honey, I Shrunk the Kids from the Oompa Loompas. And when the rats return it to the List and Found box, they'll drop it, causing it to explode and shrink everyone in the vicinity. The effects will be localized to the ground floor of the main bar, so it will be easy to opt-in or opt-out.

Either the effects will wear off after a week, or someone really smart could repair and reverse the machine. We'll use the title, "Honey, I Shrunk the Pups plot."

ETA: Forgot to mention, the plot will be run this Saturday, for one week. Whoops!

What shall we do with the cats? They might be willing to carry shrunken pups around like horses, but they might think they're mice. In any case, being the size of your own Funko doll might make feline encounters -- interesting.

Speaking for six non-player character cats that 'belong' to some of my charries, I am willing to a) provide IC cat encounters and b) be okay with people hand-waving and mentioning them. But the cats will definitely not harm or scare any shrunken pup unless you've at least gave us virtual cat-guardians a heads-up. To a doll-sized charrie, cats could objectively be quite dangerous; and after far too many people expressing astonishment IRL that I did not have my cat Lucifer executed after our accident last summer, I am NOT having the 'but cats are untrustworthy predators!' discussion ICly at my pretendy funtime games place.

So, if anybody wants to do anything involving a mouse-sized pup and a cat: - communication is key, as always!

Haha... Well, it does explode, so I would think that reversing the polarity will be a part of it, after gathering all the pieces.

Oh! I had a question before things kick off. Just how small are folks going to get?

I remember in the movie they were riding ants and floating inside of Cheerio rings, so I was curious if that was the same scale that was going to happen in Milliways.

I was thinking a few inches tall, so people won't get stepped on as much, but if you want to shrink them smaller, go for it!
