It occurred to me today that I should probably make a post for info purposes, particularly as I had a pup on Security. I've basically cleared my roster, keeping only Jim and Jack Aubrey (who I suspect might get some play this summer, once I get back to the books. If he doesn't, he'll be gone too come September). 

So Gene, Javert, and Valjean have been retired. I'll probably renew their retirements at the end of August, and then let them become available again next year.

Bruce Banner, Bruce Wayne and Courfeyrac have been deleted.

(And if it would be possible, could there be some way of getting word to Gavroche about his little brothers? 'Found them and they're safe', along those lines. If not, don't worry.)

Uhhh...hmm. Damn, I forgot Valjean was going to get on that. I'll see if word can be brought in via Cosette or Marius at some point? Valjean could easily write Gavroche a letter and ask for it to be delivered.

Also regarding Courfeyrac, should we assume he's intentionally left or just vanished into the Labyrinth?

It should be a thing that can be sorted out! A delivery can always be handwaved if necessary, but I will get in touch with peeps and see what can be done, and write the note sometime this week. :)

Annnnd...I think Courfeyrac would not intentionally leave and not say anything, so lets say he got swallowed up by the Labyrinth, or is wandering around a time pocket in the forest or something.

My pups and I will miss Gene a great deal, but you have to do what you have to do, so just want to say a massive thanks for the time we had with him. <3

(Also I'm kind of relieved that you didn't do it with a goodbye post because there would have been a lot of blubbing all round)

I was going to give you a heads up bc of the kids, but then last week happened, and then I was away this weekend, etc etc. I did think about writing a goodbye post, but literally couldn't bring myself to do it in the end. I love Gene, and I wish I still had brain/time to fit him in. But he's been through canon and I'm not doing much with him now, so best to just let him go.

Yeah, that would have resulted in four sobbing kidpups and then me sobbing too from character bleed. Probably easier to let them eventually assume he's lost his door.

He's always going to be referred to as Uncle Gene, for the record.

Dang, I'll miss Gene! He was always fun to watch. I don't think any of my pups ever met him, but I enjoyed following his threads, especially with the Sandhu kids.

I've been sort of meaning to for ages, because they're all just languishing and the chance of me getting back to them are slim. Better to make a clean break in the end, I think.

I've loved reading Gene but can understand the need to clear things out.

I'm also a little sad to see Banner go, as I had vague hopes of he and Scrapper meeting some day, as I loved them in Thor: Ragnarok.
