What advice would your characters give to themselves-as-children? What advice would they give to themselves-of-last-year?

...what about themselves-of-yesterday?

Last Year: "Listen to Mita when she tells you how to interact and socialise with mortals. It's about to become the most important skill you have."

Yesterday: "Don't put the can of Coke there."

Jim has the opportunity to give his younger self advice, and doesn't. There's really nothing he can say to that kid.

In fact, he would not give any advice to himself at any age. He has little interest in helping anyone, even his own self, and everything he did got him to where he is now and he doesn't want to change that. He's dangerously close to being happy, and it's a wonderful novelty that he's not going to mess with.

Childhood: "It's okay to be angry, but don't let your pain destroy your faith."

Last year: "You can't save him. This will hurt, but it's for the best. Let him go."

Yesterday: "You couldn't have saved him. This hurts, but it was for the best. Let the pain go."

Needless to say, Baze is terrible at following his own advice.

For their child selves:

Hera - It’s okay to trust in yourself. And try to remember to consider your own needs.

Kanan - This is not going to go the way you think.

For the self of a year or so ago: Don't get so preoccupied with whether or not you could make the thing, that you don’t stop to think if you should.

For the self of yesterday: Just ignore the kid.

Wilford has the ability to not only give himself advice, but to go back and take it. It's the last thing in the world he wants to do though. He's already gone back once and it was awful. He's not doing it again.

If he could give himself advice without having to actually re-live everything again, it would be to "Sit down, shut up, and stay out of trouble." Of course, he'd never listen at the point where that advice was needed most.

For yesterday, pack better clothes. He's going to regret the choice of wardrobe he shoved into his bag before he left for England.
