If you could drop your character into some other fictional or real-world setting, what would it be? How does it go? (Not an AU where your character has been in that setting all their life, a situation where they're just plunked down into a new universe.)

So there's this old universe that Games Workshop used to have back in the 90's called Dark Future, which was basically Nixon being elected president in 1960 led to gang-ravaged desert wasteland America by 1995. The board game itself was pretty basic, but one of my favourite authors, Kim Newman, did four amazing tie-in novels for it.

Given that it's hyperviolent, full of pop-culture references and alternate history, I would love to dump Sahaal in the middle of the Southwest wastelands and let him just run riot. It's the sort of place a Night Lord like him would thrive.

Autor has done this, by first traveling to Mia Ausa's world for three months, and then living in Wilford's for almost six.

The boy has adjusted all right.

This is a thing that can happen in Wilford’s world. It’s rare, and usually something people try to avoid, but pocket dimensions and weird science gone wrong are stories he’s covered.

He’s visited Guppy’s world twice, because it’s the ultra-mundane world’s that fascinate him. He’d like to be able to spend more time there, but Guppy’s a big baby about it.

Sinric has had fun in the 21st century America and could make a home there, given a reason.

Jay could make a rather good smuggler in the Star Wars universe. And love every minute of it.

Bodhi pretty much has with relocating to Milliways but as long as he has Galen, he'd make a home anywhere. As long as he can brings the cats and there's a good farmers markets nearby.
