Wednesday DE: Cubefall shenanigans

Substituting for Maru today, what are your plans for Cubefall? Any new and exciting configurations in mind? Which of your pups are likely to choose a new form and which would prefer not to, and why?

(Also, dear Mods, have dates been chosen for this year?)

Hawkeye probably won't choose a new form. She's too stiff, and the bar and all its weirdness is just too new. Someone should tell her to live a little.

I currently have no plans as just finding the brain for regular playing has been eluding me. Izana usually does opt for a robotic form, so maybe they'll give me a push once Cubefall rolls around.

And feet. Stairs suddenly become navigable without use of thrusters. (I suspect R2 would have some amount of sympathy for the Daleks...)

And knees! The newer Daleks can hover and fly, though, so R2 would probably shake his fist at them. If he had a fist.

Wilford gets to sit this one out every year. He reacts really badly to these plots, so it's easier if he just doesn't show up in the bar at all.

I might do something with one of my others. I haven't decided yet.

I've never actually had Orpheus change for Cubefall (that I can recall...Mardi Gras and Halloween, yes). I'm not sure what he'd choose, but I am open to suggestions if anyone has any. :D

Cassian enjoyed being an astromech and he might try something else this year. It depends what I'm doing plotwise with him how much he wants to not be himself.

I'm not sure about the others.

It'd be fun for Quentin to try something but he's kind of wary of transformations and still in plot. I will get him through it, Cassian is loud and work is busy.

Baze is happy with who he is, and so probably won't change. He loves all the construction toys, though!

Autor might become a bird again.

Fem!cee will have another go this year because Emcee enjoys being a flapper so much. I'll have to come up with other choices, but that's always fun.

Neither of my vampires are going to change into anything else. Cassidy might consider it for a second or two, but I don't think anyone wants a vampire robot.

I still have fond memories of Floki being a dragon Jurassic Park velociraptor.

I had an idea for Sherlock this time around and of course now I can't remember what it was.

Aradia turned into The Doctor once, which was fun. I think Thurlow was offered reconfigurations last time they were around for Cubefall but turned them down.

I have several ideas for Bastion and haven't actually picked one of them. A bird is a possibility, as is being a Portal turret and swapping manual dexterity for the ability to produce human speech. So is being one of their own legendary skins, like the dune buggy or steampunk version of themself. The idea of changing permanently makes them uncomfortable, but a temporary change is an opportunity to satisfy their curiosity about what it's like to be something other than a Bastion unit.
