When Mycroft left home, Sherlock didn't speak for days. He picked up books only to drop them again, and only plucked at his violin. Sometimes Mummy found Sherlock sleeping in Mycroft's bed. He would wear Mycroft's too-big shirts and spent suppertime staring at Mycroft's empty chair.

When Mycroft came home again, Sherlock didn't forgive him for leaving.

Kinda broke mine, too, tbh.

I don't know how to describe it, exactly, but I think in my headcanon he took Mycroft leaving so hard because he still remembered, subconsciously, what it felt like when Eurus left. *hands* Sherlock's feelings for Eurus are so complicated. Love and rage and fear mixed together.

... heh, kind of like the way he feels about Jim sometimes, come to think of it.

I hope Sherlock never wants him too. When we finally deal with Eurus I know it's going to be painful. We'll see how they come through.
