 In theory AU Week* is coming in a month or so. Have any plans you’d like to share? Or maybe you need some ideas? Or how about tag in with your pups for prompts to write flash fix for those AU pups?

*AU Week was an idea Maru started where for one week the Front Door connects to a different Milliways wherein pups you play here come from different realities. Sometimes these realities were one decision point different, sometimes it’s total AWOL and was a fan fix trope like a Coffee Shop AU. Not all patrons were effected, so it caused amusing confusion at times.

I need to find some sort of access to HBO so I can watch Sharp Objects sometime before AU Week, because it stars Amy Adams (Sunshine's PB) and involves psychiatric issues, crime reporting, and a serial killer, so... great tastes that taste great together, etc.

ETA: Lol, had imdb-flu on the brain.

AU-Week, I really enjoyed Sunshine's short stint as a hunter from Final Fantasy XV. I may do that again.

Right now I don't have any plans to switch mine up, but they'll probably be around for the confusion factor.

I also do not know Naruto other than he's a... fox? Cat? I'm like, 86% sure those scratches on his face are supposed to be whiskers.

I only have ideas for two of mine, Ahsoka and Sam.

Sam will be an airbender this time, and I'll likely hand wave to a generation or two past Korra.

Ahsoka, I have three ideas currently:
1. Casablanca AU, wherein she is a stand in for Rick. Not entirely sure how this could work but the idea appeals.

2. Hackers and Backers AU: She's a software engineer and hacktivist. Her BBF was one too, until he sold out and became a backer, looking to make money rather than change the world.

3. Skate Wars

Danny - There's the obvious, Danny as part of The Hand. Or, what about Danny Rand: Agent of SHIELD?

Hank got dubbed the Alchemist by the media and while he gripes that it's not very accurate as he doesn't use magic, he can't argue with the theater of it. And he does use a variety of chemical compounds to do a variety of things; from boosts to his physical features, to rounds that freeze or knockout those who get hit, to industrial foams and adhesives that end fights in a very dramatic fashion.

I'll have to think of the Danny prompts, as both are seeming like fics.

Danny couldn't process the surealness of the man in the generic black suit walking from the shadows of the rooftop access. "Uh...yeah?

"I understand you're the guy to talk to if you have an undead ninja problem."

"Uh...okay."

"You're country needs you then."

"But..."

"I understand you have responsibilities here. I'll leave a team here to take care of things for you while you're gone."

"How long..."

"I honestly don't know Mr. Rand. Undead ninjas are your thing."

"Shouldn't take more than a day or so...I guess? I'll need more information."

"Of course. By the way, welcome to S.H.I.E.L.D."

"What does..."

"Let's not get into that, Mr. Rand. We're on a schedule."

Walther had never wanted an apprentice and didn't want one now, but he had to admit the girl did prove useful when Toby showed up with another new alchemical problem. Still, he would speak with his mother once this crisis was over and make sure the girl found another position. There had to be better opportunities. Just as soon as they figured out the mix of this latest batch of elf shot and this concentrated goblin fruit, and got away from the red caps and who knew what else that were chasing them.

Tearing around a corner, Walther found Sabine spray painting a wall. Grafetti, at a time like this?!?! She laughed at his scowl and finsished one final flourist before turning and joining his run.

"Better run faster, Mr. Davies."

Surprising himself, he found more speed and was about to ask why when an explosion sent all the trash cans and the people chasing them into the air. Remarkably, not them however.

"What?"

"Oh good, I was hoping they didn't have any tylwyth teg with them. Alchemic explosive targeted to anyone not tylwyth teg. Had I more time, I could've narrowed it down, but you know..."

Walther decided then and there that no one else would get this genius of a girl's training.

I just live the idea of her as an alchemist but one who can do support in fights to be a counter to Walther.

I have an idea for a domino-effect sort of AU, where one event from 20 years ago would play out differently, but I'm not sure if I'm going to use it, or just kind of give it a skip this year. It just seems like every time I commit to something lately, I'm unable to do it because Life decides I need to be doing other things instead.

varadia and I incidentally started a Hera-Thrawn thread this week in the AU we're planning to do for this year. Which is, last year we did Hera, Kanan, and Thrawn in Star Trek, and this year our plan is to make that Mirror Universe Star Trek with the Terran Empire. So Hera is a rebel assassin, Thrawn basically raised her as his ward, and Kanan's a Security Officer in Imperial Starfleet.

So far it is... very dark. Which is about right for the Mirrorverse.

I really enjoyed AU week and as Cassian keeps inspiring me to write AUs, I might do one another one. Last year, I did my Leverage AU and I've finished the fic now, so I could play him from later in that timeline. I also have college AU, Ice Dancing AU and a 1920s Murder Mystery AU.

I was toying with the idea of Cold War era Emcee, sort of in the Atomic Blonde universe or something like it, where he runs an illegal underground dance club in East Berlin and all his boys and girls are also spies.

For Yamato, I've pretty much settled on him being a superhero from a world where superheroes are public-facing celebrities, with a heavy emphasis on them being happy and peppy all the time (and/or insert other elements of the horror show that is idol culture here).

Not sure what his superpower should be, though! So if anyone has suggestions, then go for it. I will also happily take any suggestions as to companies sponsoring him.

For Eden, I usually don't do AU week, because it's difficult to AUfy him without changing everything about him, but I'm open to suggestions.

Ooh, ooh, what about a superpower where he can talk anyone into anything? Sort of like a commanding voice that has to be temporarily obeyed? I don't know of any sponsors that would go for that except maybe Twitter, because it's not as flashy as some of the other powers, but it might be fun! Especially if he has to really work to control it, and like, accidentally commands people to do things when he's upset.

What if his superpower was to turn into Gabumon? Like Beastboy, but, y'know, Digimon.

Also, he needs an embarrassing sponsor. Like Rolaids, because I want to see him do the crazy supercharged peace-sign turn around with a pack of antacids and he has to smile-shout, "ROLAIDS SPELLS RELIEF!"

Now I'm just thinking that someone clearly needs to give Gabumon a domino mask so that he can fight crime as an avenging dark knight. Not even in an AU, just like, generally. In life. The fire breath is handy for these things.

He clearly does need some super embarrassing sponsors. It's really tempting to make Bandai one of his sponsors, both because it's one of Digimon's sponsors, and because he then has a reason to give people action figures of himself (now with catchphrases!).

I vaguely contemplated Bastion as a member of Null Sector - presumably having been smuggled into England by sympathisers or scouts - but I decided I didn't want to deal with running a version of them who's aggressively anti-human, at least not in their first year in the Bar. Even if it does come with a very aesthetically pleasing purple-and-orange colour scheme.

I have pieces of 'Phantom Thieves dropped into the Persona 3 storyline' in my head, and I might try to figure that out enough for the week. Last year I rolled up during the event, so it wasn't the right time yet.
