tuesday de: bartender!
What's your character's favorite beverage, alcoholic or otherwise? If they consume alcohol (or the species/setting-appropriate equivalent), what is their favorite drink and why?
Or, you know, what's yours (again, alcoholic or otherwise)?
Do feel free to start up a recommendation swap.

Personally, I prefer ciders and rum. Or chocolate milk. Chocolate milk is awesome.

Non-alcoholic: raspberry lemonade or raspberry-lime seltzer. Yes, there's a theme there, shutup.
Alcohol: whooee depends what kind of alcohol you really want to get into? Mixed drinks, I loves me a good margarita and there are many variants of that, and I also love a good sidecar (my favorite recipe for that is... uh, I think it's four parts cognac, three parts cointreau, three parts fresh lemon juice, and obviously with a sugared rim) and related drinks. Oh, and of course alcoholic mulled cider, or oh god mulled wine in winter is so so good. Straight alcohol, I guess I like ciders and amber ales--I cannot remember the name now but there was a Belgian amber I had not long ago that was fantastic--and, well, my dad and I are fans of single malt Scotch (ps on the whiskey front I also happen to massively dislike American ones for the most part). I mostly go for the Speysides, honestly, with Highlands as second favorite (yes, I have had Laphroaig alone, because I was curious).
My absolute favorite Scotch maker is Abelour, my favorite from them is their cask-strength a'bunadh. It is absurdly good--definitely put a little water into it, both because it's absurdly strong and because it opens up whole new notes like you wouldn't believe--and while it's definitely pricier than it was even four years ago, it's still an amazing balance of price and taste for "pricey, Not Cheap Booze You Guzzle" without being prohibitive.
EDIT:
Eriond: honestly probably just goes for homemade fruit juice. He's a cinnamon roll that way. He likes water, too. And milk. He doesn't dislike alcohol, he just doesn't like it more or less than anything else.
Lois: has yet to get into alcohol. Definitely likes her flavored seltzer, though. (When she grows up, she will be fond of craft beers and tequila.)
Evelyn: Likes good wine, more often gets cheap ale. Would love exploring alcohol with a connoisseur.
R2-D2: N/A
Anakin: ... yeah not actually terribly applicable either, somewhat surprisingly. I tend to lean towards him actually really liking water--because of Tatooine, really. Sure, he'll have a drink every so often, and juice is actually always a treat, but... water is something precious. He'll gladly drink water, because it is a miracle.
Tavi: Oh man does Tavi love Milliways for beverages he does not get at home, be it Copper Isle Red Griffin tea when he needs more caffeine than he gets out of Aleran teas, chocolate in any form (beverage or solid), or other kinds of wine or beer or alcohol that can't be made in Alera. He's developed a fondness for fruit juices and hard ciders lately because produce is so scarce in Alera that it's precious. He also definitely appreciates ale to relax with, different kinds depending on his mood (cheap swill when he just needs some alcohol in his system; he likes dabbling with local craft brews from literally anywhere, Alera or otherwise, if he has time to enjoy it), as ale and Legions go together.
That said, there are two things that Tavi happens to have a distinct taste for separately and almost never together unless he's feeling at ease enough not to think or wants to end up stuck in memories: spice (like mulling spice flavors) and wine. He loves spiced cider, spiced fruit pies, whatever, he just loves the taste. He also actually quite likes wine a lot (red wines, mainly). Spiced wine is a taste he honestly really likes. It's kind of a genetic predilection. His dad is equally fond of it on taste and, like Tavi, refuses to touch it, because of the kind of unfortunate part where 'spicewine' actually refers specifically to a lovely spiced wine with stimulants that Sextus was intermittently somewhat addicted to. For Tavi, this carries the extra bonus that it's how Sextus was poisoned. So yeah, his taste palette runs towards "yay spice, yay wine, put them together y/y?" and then trauma kind of bring that to a screeching halt. Maybe one day he'll work his way past it; I doubt it, though. His kids will probably drink spiced wine without realizing it carries family history.

As for me, I'm an IPA sort of person. Especially Brewdog.

Pam: blood. And not that TruBlood crap.
Cassidy: single malt whiskey. I think he does have a favorite brand (which he mentioned in the show but I couldn't catch the name), though i don't think he's very particular. It's probably the taste he grew up with in Ireland.
Floki: mead or ale. He doesn't care for wine.
Me: I only drink alcoholic drinks if I'm out with people, and depending on the place, my default is either a Guinness or a vodka cranberry. I love specialty cocktail menus and sometimes ordering things based on the creativity of the name or unusual ingredient (I once had an espresso martini garnished with a floating coffee bean). I'm a lightweight and hard liquor scares me, so I've never actually tasted whiskey.

Sabine is all about the caf, in any form. I should have her get a raktajino by accident sometime in bar.
Hank hasn't had many alcoholic beverages. In fact, I think I've only had him drink beer once. He loves Ovaltine and Tang thought.
Sam seems a bourbon or rum kind of guy. He also likes OJ and isn't afraid to drink straight from the carafe.
Danny is pretty clueless about the wide variety of drinks. He likes Fanta sodas for nostalgic reasons, but his taste buds are more attuned to tea.
Izana...teas? Plumb wine and saki exist onboard Sidonia I'm sure, but I don't think they're much of a drinker.
For myself, I'm actually not drinking any longer but I used to love a good IPA or Porter. Also loved bourbon or whiskey. Oh and Chartreuse on rare occasions.
As for non-alcoholic, I love mojito (minus the rum), ginger ale or beer, and rootbeer.

Rose doesn't drink. Thankfully.
I don't think Kylo drinks in that way, either. He wouldn't like the loss of control.
Creed drinks anything. Really.
As for myself, I'm a rye & ginger girl.

Autor also prefers tea. He doesn't like the loss of control that comes with drinking alcohol, so he doesn't drink much.
I prefer strawberry cream soda. It's amazing. I've never tried anything alcoholic; not even once.

In the past Kanan could be partial to a Corellian Twister, but now he'd also just as soon be drinking caf.
I basically only allow myself to drink water these days, sometimes with some kind of water flavoring thing added in. Or the occasional glass of skim milk. Very exciting, I know.

Me, I favor iced coffee, or Manhattan Special coffee soda when I can get it.

Fairy Fixit, when she feels like living a bit dangerously, likes May Wine. But usually any alcohol will do.
Personally I am not much of a drinker; all I know is that I like my beer dark and stout and my wine sweetish. Also for some reason my throat hates straight rum but it's fine with tequila and vodka. Idk.

Sherlock drinks tea and the occasional scotch, though he also enjoys anything cold and fruity while honeymooning.
I default to lemonade, especially blends like raspberry-lemonade or mango-lemonade. I also like iced coffee. I've never been much of an alcohol-drinker. Even mimosas give me a headache, so, yeah, not going to try anything stronger.

And yeah it's basically carbonated chocolate milk and yet like ten thousand times better than it has any right to be.

I'm still here, never left, most likely never will, but I'm good with that.

In a similar vein, I pretty much live off of Arizona tea. Arnold Palmers are my favorite.
