I have a particular fondness for klava (Steven Brust's Dragaera series) which is a complicated coffee type of thing to make. I've always sort of imagined it as something like how cold brewed coffee tastes, but warm and more espresso like; i.e. smoky and rich but not bitter like coffee can be.
I've also always wanted to try bubbly pies, from the Pern books, as well as whatever the heck a sweet meat is.
Turkish delight was still a disappointment, as much as I do enjoy it.
I've always wondered about shimmer wine, which is from the Vorkosigan books and try the maple mead. I'd also love to try eating anything that Ma Kosti had made.
I can't immediately think of anything else, oh yes, I'd be curious to try a sip of the Luidaeg's tea made with saltwater, just to see what its like.
Oh those sound delicious! And yes, I'd agree on the Luidaeg's tea. I can see something really smokey, like some Russian tea blends I've had before working really well with salt water.
I always thought the food at the Lost Boys' banquet in Hook looked so good. Half of it was just cartoon coloured mush food, but I don't care. I still want to try it.
Sadly Star Wars often falls into the sci-fi thing of not showing food much, and that food often being boring things like protein bars or whatever - which is logical for space travel but STILL I like seeing food onscreen!
But the Star Wars website does have a lot of amusing recipes, including a green milk milkshake which I mean -
