Monday was Labor Day in the US! What holidays celebrating victories of movements does your character celebrate, or that their world celebrates but they may not observe?
Alternately, what does your character do with a long weekend?

Quentin lives in San Francisco and is surrounded by the various US holidays and then the Fae ones seem to be more tied to the seasons. They haven't been mentioned that much in canon so far.
Charles also lives in the US and I think he has a fondness for most American holidays with how they bring people together.
In the Old Kingdom, the main holiday that's been mentioned is the Frost Fair and I feel like there might be others that I'm forgetting. For Sameth, they're part of being prince and his duties to attend and dance, which he hates.
William's American though not all the holidays line up the same way in his time, an important one for him is Decoration Day which turned into Memorial Day as its a time to honor his father and how he fought.
Barrayar holidays are tied to the seasons and oddly not a national holiday tied to any battles. There's the Emperor's birthday which is a big civic one, but for all their warrior nature, I think most memorials are private.
I do know the answers for the other ones but my morning started off badly. I slept later than I meant to and hit so much traffic on my way into work that I was late.

I'm sure that the Rohirrim celebrate major victories, though it is not (so far as I have found) anything Tolkien saw fit to document. Later, when she's living in Ithilien with Faramir, she'll quite enjoy the state celebrations
Shadowhunters do not celebrate holidays, and they haven't really had a war since the Accords were signed. (Alec likes Christmas, though.)
Aaaaand, none of my pups have weekends that could be elongated or shortened. Or really the concept of vacations.
