Hera is a layer of hard-learned, 'accept what we cannot change' maturity over a great restless ball of 'nnnnooooooooooooooooOPE WE'RE GONNA DO IT ANYWAY!!!!'

Kanan leans more to the former, and has a greater risk toward resignation than Hera does. But... he's also actually pretty similar.

There's... a lot of things beyond Cecil's control in Night Vale. Responses may vary:

- Almost amused resignation ('... and that was tonight's PTA meeting. Oh, and ALL HAIL THE GLOW CLOUD. Anyway...')
- Straight up ignoring the potential danger of the situation (... Cecil, they're flooding the station with carbon monoxide STOP THE SHOW)
- Straight up delivering an 'its been nice knowing you, so long Night Vale' speech while he mans his post like a freaking captain going down with the ship (twice. This happens twice. And it hurts both times.)
- Getting ridiculously salty about it on air
- Planning and coordinating an armed insurrection
- '... I am still holding this trophy...' Yeah, thanks Cecil, just... just stomp on my heart a little harder, k? Really flatten it.
