Your character has access to all the TV stations or TV show sources of the multiverse! After all, it's Milliways.

So, do they take advantage of this? Do they mainline a show or space themselves out? And what do they find themselves addicted to? Planet Earth, political intrigue dramas, late night comedy, cartoons for kids, space operas, etc? Feel free to name specific shows if something resonates, "it's just the indistinguishable clone that doesn't break the fourth wall" etc.

What about y'all, got TV recs for each other?

I tend to forget the TV in Milliways exists, but I've had young!Sunshine watch episodes of Alton Brown's Good Eats and Cutthroat Kitchen in the bar, and she loves both of them. I haven't gotten a chance to watch The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell yet, but I imagine Sunshine would get a kick out of it. Cooking and baking with a morbidly humorous twist? That's very much her.

Wilford doesn’t watch a whole lot of TV as it is. If he watches TV in the bar, he tends to stick to the sports channels. Even if he doesn’t understand the game, it’s usually pretty easy to tell who’s winning and who’s losing.

Hmm. Sahaal's watched Blood Bowl matches on the TV before, and he's somewhat of a fan. Being a Space Marine, he appreciates contests of skill, and being a Night Lord, he likes his share of blood and gore. So he'd probably enjoy, if Bar picked them up, broadcasts of the Hunger Games. The actual games, mind you, not the films. On a slightly lighter note, I've said in the past that he's liked listening to Night Vale Radio. This is still probably true, but with Cecil now in the bar, it's kinda retconned to "he's not heard it yet, but would like it''.

As for things Sahaal would like genre-wise, I'd have to say crime, horror, and dark comedy. Stuff like The Sopranos and Peaky Blinders he'd absolutely love, if only because the organised crime structure and attitude reminds him of his Legion. Good horror films would have him taking notes on how to incorporate the techniques into his own terror strikes. And dark, morbid comedy, like Bill Hicks or Frankie Boyle, he'd just find hilarious.

Fairy Fixit is a big fan of interdimensional cable, especially since she figured out how to hack up a reciever for it on her own world. I have previously said she is a fan of detective shows, but the shows she watches are very odd. Law & Order: Elevator Inspector's Unit is her favorite, for example. I've mostly restricted her to fictional TV shows that have appeared in other canons, though.

One of her coworkers is a big fan of Tentacles of Our Waves, amusingly, and is jealous that Fairy Fixit is the sorta defacto Milliways liason.

Emcee would love all the nature, travel, and history documentaries. Anything about different cultures, including cooking. And RuPaul's Drag Race and Queer Eye.

Cassidy's viewing habits would overlap with Emcee's, plus he's really into all manner of reality TV, trashy talk shows, and true crime. He calls it a study of the human condition.

Floki would watch HGTV all day, and I think he'd like travel shows, too, especially if they involve sailing.

I can't think of anything Pam would willingly watch and enjoy. Maybe a particularly bloody nature documentary about lions or sharks or something, but shes not a binger.

Molly likes trash, and is unashamed of that fact; the trashier the better to be honest. Given the opportunity, she'd watch a LOT of it, and would happily mainline all ten series of RuPaul's Drag Race or Say Yes To The Dress or Love Island or Cake Boss or something. Also: Disney movies, and old cartoons (Road Runner, Bugs Bunny, Sylvester and Tweety, etc.) I could also easily see her getting into Doctor Who, especially since Nico and Gert probably like it.

Raoul comes from a pre-television culture, and to be honest I doubt TV would interest him much anyway - he doesn't stay sitting down that long. He'd maybe accidentally get addicted to a really good political drama? Something like the UK House of Cards. And would then watch it in very short bursts when he had a few minutes' break. Or possibly something mundane that he'd never taken any interest in before, like Great British Bake-Off/Pottery Throwdown/Sewing Bee/Masterchef/etc.

(No longer playing her, but Edna Mode claims not to watch TV but is in fact obsessed with RuPaul's Drag Race, which she watches for inspiration. Every so often, her favourite contestants are sent an anonymous parcel with a perfect new outfit - cape-free, naturally - for them. And every so often, a superhero cottons on to the fact that their costume looks just a little like something last seen on a drag queen...)

Sam's not really a TV guy. He's been known to do particularly vicious MST3Ks of history documentaries, though, and point out everything they've got wrong.

Beref isn't aware of what television is, and probably wouldn't be interested in it if she were.

War likes war movies, provided they're properly realistic and, ideally, end with as many characters getting killed off as possible. (She watches opera for much the same reason, even though it most definitely is NOT very realistic.) She doesn't watch, but approves of, really jingoistic oh-what-a-glorious-war movies as well: she appreciates the free advertising. The Les Miserables movie, or at least the barricades bit, is her idea of the perfect chill-out watching.

McGonagall also doesn't really 'do' television, but she picked up a liking for movies in the 1940s, so she'd enjoy Sunday-afternoon TV filmes; her favourite is Casablanca.

I keep meaning to bring that sport from the Craft Sequence whose name I can’t remember to bar as something to watch on screen.

There’s also flying races from a D&D novel I think could be a fun sport to watch.

Basically I think weird sports would be an awesome thing to have someone start watching. Maybe I’ll have Jessica Drew do so when I bring her in.
