I'm finishing up a re-reading of His Dark Materials and I was almost about to ask the question bjornwilde asked yesterday!
Riffing off that coincidence: what's a story your character goes back to over and over? It could be a book they re-read, a movie they love to watch, a folk story or a personal story... What do they keep coming back to?

Sabine likely has some Mandalorian hero's myth she rereads a lot. As well as some melodrama or action holo-vid.
Sam listens to Marvin Gaye's "Trouble Man".
Viv has a soft spot for Pinocchio, Spielberg's A.I., Wall-e, and Asimov's Robot series.
Rebels-era Ahsoka watches old holo-footage of her master, Anakin, to remind her why she fights and to remember the good times.
As for myself, I always end up returning to the Toby Daye books. I used to love rereading the Dragonriders of Pern as well, and keep meaning to check out the works McCaffrey's children have done with the world.

For me? John le Carre's Smiley's People and A Perfect Spy. There are two sections in each (the capture and 'turning' of an enemy spy, and the story of the protagonist's marriage told as if writing his autobiography for his young son) which I just keep coming back to. And, on a lighter note, Hot Fuzz. I cannot tell you how many times I've seen that movie.

Since his system first connected to the Net, Enzo has been making a lifelong, and largely successful, effort to watch/read/listen to/otherwise experience every available version of Tron. I daresay he has particular favourite versions, but he's always excited to see a new take on it.
