For Fairy Fixit, it was discovering her god was an actual person with actual severe depression. And it was after he let himself get killed. She (and the rest of his worshippers) knew at least in principle that they shouldn't worship or revere him because he asked them not to do so, but still. Then the rest of the world found out that their gods weren't perfect models of their ideals either. Except for Amascut; anyone paying attention to her already knew she was a deceptive asshole.

Amascut already knew she was a minor goddess, but accidentally bumping into and waking an Elder goddess broke her in ways that affected big parts of the rest of canon in a big way, despite her minor status.
