How is your character with work-life balance? Do they think about it at all?

Brought to you by dubious life choices.

For Wilford and Nichola: Terrible, and they both know it. But so is everyone else in the industry, so it doesn't really matter.

Celine wishes she had this problem right now.

So, this is a fraught question for Yamato, sort of.

He is appallingly bad at work-life balance. He's so bad at it that he turns his hobbies into work if given half the chance, just to make sure he never has a chance to rest or relax. He is canonically going to end up in a career that demands most of his time and energy, before eventually seamlessly transitioning into a career that demands most of his time and energy and also involves spending months in space.

What makes it fraught is that his father is also bad at work-life balance. Hiroaki Ishida's inability to balance his work and life is so pronounced that it's at least a contributing factor in the breakdown of his marriage, and a huge component in why he's such a neglectful father. Yamato loves his father, but he really doesn't want to be like him, in any sense.

Gabriel has poor work-life balance, though I'm not certain how much of that can be blamed on the Omnic Crisis forcing that. He does relish his time at Milliways because it lets him get away for a while without actually risking slacking off thanks to time shenanigans. Still, he's developing bad habits that will dog him throughout the rest of his career.

I don't know that Khadgar differentiates between work and life all that much. Obviously handling the diplomatic challenges of the interfaction relationships is tedious, but he loves working with the people themselves and all the new discoveries they're making. It'd be nice if it was under different circumstances, though.

Ahsoka's work is her life, being a jedi and all. She would say the balance is fine, but I would say she needs to get out more.

Sabine's balance is pretty good I would say. She lives the life of a rebel but she always makes time for her art.

Jessica is bad with life balance. She seems to swing to extremes, either living the super hero life or avoiding it like it's the plague.

Sam, I think, is good with balancing things.

Danny doesn't see a dividing line between life and being the Iron Fist. Still, he did run away from the duties of the Fist to find his old life and answers, some maybe he's not so deluded on where the line is.

Dog, it could be argued, is nothing but her purpose. Still she plays as much as she can get away with.

Viv is still figuring out the balance and failing to do so for the most part. There's even a bit when Vision grounds her for not balancing her Champions life with family life.

Tybalt is pretty good with balancing his life as a king of cats with his relationship with Toby....at least until his royal life intrudes. Actually, maybe not. There are times in canon where Toby is left alone too long as Tybalt deals with business.

As for myself, I'd love to say I did and I do for the most part. I leave work at work and take care of home, but lately work has been seriously burning me out.

Bastion doesn't feel like the concept applies to them. In practice their work-life balance isn't too bad, they've got a couple of hobbies, but they don't feel like they can separate their job from their personal identity.
