tuesday de: on the record

Your character is part of an interview for some kind of journal, newspaper, magazine, news channel, whatever medium of choice! What are they being interviewed about? If they're the interviewer, what kind of story are they chasing? Are they scared or nervous or are they highly practiced at being the face of something?

Hank is supposed to be being interviewed for some scientific breakthrough he had but, instead, the interviewer keeps asking him about being a mutant and the current mutant rights climate. Hank would much rather talk about his science but knows he owes it to the mutants out there to put on a good face, so he is charming and honest and as unthreatening as his bestial face can be.

Uhm...

Lately, Celine's been having to run away from tabloid cockroaches, actively avoiding giving interviews about how she's divorcing her actor husband and dating some hack journalist.

Nichola isn't doing any kind of interview right now, but she did help write questions for Cisco's interview while he was disrupting the multiverse.

Emcee would never agree to an in-depth interview (he likes keeping up a mystique) but would most likely give a witty 30-second soundbite about why everyone should come to his nightclub.

Pam will also not be interviewed. She hates answering questions and the more questions you ask the more annoyed she gets and then Eric has to intervene.

Cassidy is very nearly an open book and will cheerfully talk about anything except how he became a vampire.

Floki would be, like, the coverboy for Viking Ships Monthly.

Ahsoka is undercover at a ball for the elite of the Inner Core. She's better at lying/acting than her days with Anakin, but she still isn't that good. Which results in her coming across as this flighty celebrity columnist/interviewer who bolts every time she sees a new personage to potentially interview.

What's actually happening is she'll blabber at whoever she's latched onto until she feels the faintest hint of suspicion in the Force, then move on; swimming upstream until she gets closer to better information.

As knowledge of who the Chosen are becomes more public knowledge (as it definitely will -- it's already an open secret on Odaiba, by the end of Tri significantly more of the world are starting to catch on, and Takeru's going to eventually end up writing and publishing an account of 01 and 02), I can imagine that a fair few people are going to be after an interview with all of them.

Yamato will likely rebuff them for as long as they can -- and he might even be successful in keeping them at bay for a long time, because Mimi, Takeru, Sora, and Taichi are all in way more public facing jobs than him (as celebrity/television personality, journalist/author, fashion designer/heir to an iemoto house, and diplomat respectively) and will likely be the first targets for any interviews.

When someone does eventually catch him for an interview, he might not be as bad as everyone expects. Everyone else in his immediate family is a journalist of some stripe, it's safe to say he knows how to deal with journalists. So he'll be a little gruff, and he'll end the interview as soon as he can, but he probably won't be too bad.

That said, it is entirely possible it will be his own brother interviewing him, and in that case, how well the interview goes depends entirely on how much of The Cain Effect Takeru is feeling that day.
