Friday DE
Let’s do a Fic Friday.
Tag in with pups you’d like to write for. Get prompts, as well as giving them to other mins. Write a fic of whatever length.
Bonus: Since we always do our best to write well, this time try and write badly. Purple prose, run-on sentences, simile riddles, or whatever badly means for you

Edit: Also taking prompts for Aziraphale and Crowley from Good Omens 'cause I'm currently addicted but I know (?) that we still have an awesome Crowley and I think Aziraphale was (rightly) retired, but... dang this show, I'm going to end up writing all the fic.

Or at least, only the trouble Sir felt fit.
Nah, this is better. Besides. You get better with practice, right?

Does the road work ahead?
Crowley, wearing a mulish expression and wielding a spade, refuses to back down.
"You know that even if we could somehow convince them that this blessed thing has the unfortunate knack of bursting into flames right before the odd apocalypse, they'd still insist on rebuilding it just as it was. And you can't miracle something occult, angel." The demon waves at the construction site, shut down for the evening, before starting his sauntering way forward. "So we dig, and make it something a little less... burn-y."
Aziraphale eyes the worksite on the M25, and sighs.

He doesn't like using the word 'torture'.
Other people talk about their parents (wistfully, painfully, angrily) and talk about ideologies, world-views that have since been abandoned, kinship that has been left behind.
He talks about a taste in stupidly expensive whiskey, a killer chocolate chip cookie recipe.
He just can't tell them, after all, about the ability to gouge out eyes, about the technique needed to snap necks, the ruthlessness needed to survive in the Hargreeves mansion.

Mercy takes many shapes. The Empire speaks of mercy when they only kill rebel fighters instead of destroying a city. For Cassian, mercy means how does he use the truth. Not everyone is ready to understand the true scope of the enemy they face, not every informant will understand what it means to choose death over betrayal. With each meeting, Cassian balances what will mercy look like. When he aims his rifle, mercy there is simpler, mercy is the clean shot, a swift death and no one else harmed. The only mercy that he ever wants for himself is to die doing something good and for it to be quick.
