What have you been reading? Also I was realizing that usually in August or September, AU week happens. It might be worthwhile to start thinking of times that might work.

Here it's really just starting to be summer weatherwise, after a predominantly damp and overcast June and July, and it's still not as hot as it was this time last year. But that means less wildfires so I'll take it. (I've just kind of spent the summer wondering when the other shoe was going to drop and the clouds would part and the province would immediately burst into flames.)

Anyway, weather notwithstanding, I've mostly been following Boo and Puffy's exploits: Boo mooching food from Quentin, Boo getting in a fight with Michael, Puffy antagonizing Quentin and so forth.

AU week -- oh yes, of course! Perhaps the week following your American Labour Day might work, after people are back from Dragon*Con? Also, I had the idea that this year, the AUs could be different but specific other canons, just as a suggestion -- people always pick their own AUs. But, like, Hannibal being a warlock from the world of 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina', Margolotta as a slightly batty aristo from the mostly cozy 1950s Cotswolds of the BBC 'Father Brown', or Teja as a cynical but uncorrupted police officer from the world of the series 'Lucifer'.

Just to name a few of my own characters as example.
