Blizzcon's approaching and with it the promise of a new cinematic. Maybe the long drought of plot development will end? Also the Overwatch Cookbook was just released and while I was unable to find it in a bricks-and-mortar store just yet I did a) order a copy and b) find most of the flavor text posted on Tumblr, which is chock full of little character-revealing bits for most of the playable cast (except Sigma and Baptiste because they are too new.)

Don't Starve is in the calm before the storm right now; nothing has been announced but we know Klei's hard at work on the new DLC character and the next revamp of an existing character. And hopefully a Hallowed Nights thing will appear soon, too. Maybe Wortox, Wormwood and Warly will get costume skins.

If the rumors of Overwatch 2 being a thing and being a PvE thing turn out to be true, I will be extremely happy. I feel like whatever they announce they've been setting up for Phase 2 of the story. Talon is better fleshed out now, we have hints of Doomfist putting things into motion, and repeated hints of folks answering Winston's recall. I feel like we're ready for a big announcement, but I might just be hopeful.

I am looking forward to the second season of The Umbrella Academy and season 07 of The Clone Wars (Seige of Mandalore!!!).

I had been looking forward to Iron Fist season 03, feeling like they finally got their balance in season 02, but then all the Netflix Marvel shows got canceled. :(

Sort of related to Iron Fist, I am looking forward to Shang Chi and the 10 Rings.

Champions has ended, so I don't have any new canon for Viv until the next big Marvel event...wheee. (Not looking forward to that actually.)

Unrelated to any pups, I am very much looking forward to Harrow the Ninth after having finished Gideon the Ninth. Damned good book btw.

Random: disappointed to not see any Klaus cosplayers on day 1 of NYCC, but there was a Cha-Cha, a Hazel (separately), and a Vanya complete with white violin. If I see a Klaus over the weekend I will accost them.

Early February 2020 is bringing with it Last Evolution: Bonds, the next chunk of Yamato's canon, taking place when he's 22, along with a short slice-of-life series set around the same time (and the crowdfunding for that just ended at 383% of their funding goals, which is nice). I am very much looking forward to that, especially as it's probable that it'll be the last Digimon Adventure stuff we get until the 25th anniversary in 2025.

(Then again, Toei loves cash, so maybe not.)

They've started filming the Cassian Andor series or they're going to start this month or next month. It won't come out until next year but this is a thing that is happening.

The last October Daye book was so good. I love how in every book, more of the world is shown and questions get answered as new ones appear.

I can't think of anything else at the moment since I'm home after an early morning and enjoying having a good paycheck to do a proper grocery shop. Also it actually feels like Fall, I love being able to wear long sleeves and drink even more tea.

Blizzcon is in one month and WoW is pretty much guaranteed to get an new patch and the next expac announcement, though it's unlikely Khadgar will have any part of either. Current story lines are headed towards Old Gods and necromancy and that's not quite his wheelhouse. I'm still excited about it, it just probably won't change anything for the archmage until I actually get that far and figure out what he's been doing while the Alliance and Horde have been fighting each other. Again. (Good lord I really hope they announce the end of factions this year.)

I'm anxiously awaiting the upcoming Miraculous Ladybug episodes set to drop in October and November. I'm darn curious if the title of one, "Chat Blanc", means what I think it means i.e. that Chat Noir gets akumatized... Not unrelated, the current airing schedule is driving me batty! The episodes are all out of order. :(

I really need to get to work on this AU I'm writing...

I really do need to figure out what this Star Trek: Picard thing is all about. I doubt Sariel will make an appearance anywhere in it, but one never knows.
