Wednesday DE: Good Friends And Bad

What's your character's most positive and supporting relationship with another person? Conversely, what is their most negative relationship with another person?

Most positive (at the moment) would probably be... Dana? Or Old Woman Josie. Dana is Cecil's intern and is managing to survive, despite getting trapped in the Dog Park, and they've managed to get from a boss/intern relationship to something more like friendship, though right now communication is... difficult, to say the least. Old Woman Josie is (literally) one of Cecil's oldest friends, but their relationship is strained right now - I subscribe to the belief (that will probably be Jossed to hell in the new year) that before Carlos showed up, Cecil was getting a little (lot) lost in his job, and most of his relationships were getting lost along the way.

Of course there's Carlos, but that right now is a new and shiny thing that is more glitter and stardust than substance.

Most negative... right now is with Steve Carlsburg. Ugh. That man can't even take care of a tan Corolla. Which is important because Steve does have responsibility over something(s) that Cecil cares about quite a lot and is super tetchy over. SUPER TETCHY. Like, spilling into abuse-of-powers tetchy. Put a sock in it, Cecil.

He won't. Not until it gets shoved in his face how wrong he is.

Other than that, I'd say Kevin, because it's real hard to have a positive relationship with your double when that guy is straight-up evil. Jeebus.

Tess' most positive relationship would be with Clark. Not only does she respect him, she trusts him, which is a major step for her. She can confide in him and know that he won't judge her when she's still very flawed. Negative is Lex for sure. He may not agree, but no one makes her angrier.

The most positive relationship for Kylo is... I'm not sure. I could say Leia, even if they don't interact, but it's clear he still cares. Negative would be with everyone but mostly Luke. It's hard to get over someone trying to kill you.

Creed doesn't really have a positive relationship with anyone, save maybe Mystique, though they don't hang out much anymore. Logan should probably be the most negative, but it's actually Stryker.

I just wanted to say I love this topic and wish work would leave me with a few brain cells and some time to answer it.

Yamato's most positive is -- well, there's a question mark over whether it's Taichi or Sora (much as Yamato would like it to be Takeru, he's too much of a nightmare helicopter brother for that to be true), but I think Sora edges it, just because Yamato and Taichi, while they're best friends who adore and admire each other, are kind of stuck with a mutual inferiority complex.

His most negative is actually probably Taichi right now, because right now they're severely at cross-purposes and just making each other feel worse about everything, but that's generally not the case. In a normal situation, it's probably his father, because Yamato's not good at dealing with the fact that Hiroaki genuinely does love him but is totally unsuited to fatherhood and has more or less decided not to try.
