Monday DE: SQUIRREL!

Sorry for the late DE guys, every time I went to post I... got distracted. A lot. Oops.

And I don't have a particular idea for today's DE, so let's keep this to a theme:

How easy is it to distract your pup(s)? Once they have a fixed idea or goal are they impossible to dissuade, or -- SQUIRREL!

Yamato is a dog with a bone. Once he gets a goal or an idea in his head, nothing will steer him away for it. This is good in certain contexts -- the kid's eventually going to be a damn astronaut, it's safe to say that his sheer bloody-minded determination is a factor in that. It's bad in certain other contexts, because it means that once he's got a wrong idea in his head -- like thinking his friends hate him -- dissuading him of it is an uphill struggle at best and Sisyphean at worst.

Eden gives the impression of being easily distracted, flitting from idea to idea as they catch his eye. He's not. Once he gets a goal in his head, he's relentless in pursuing it, he's just also cunning, and clever enough to hide it.

Amascut will get distracted by the scent of cats, call it vigilance or whatever, but either her backup plans have backup plans or she is very good at working around distractions. Distractions are very temporary things and she is good at getting back to what she was going to do, maybe not in the same manner as before, maybe even from a better angle.
