Wednesday DE: Creature of the Night

So, Vampire: The Masquerade has a bunch of clans for its vampire characters, some of which relate to people's backgrounds and personalities, and some of which don't.

Some of the major ones which do relate to a character's personality are: Brujah (anti-authoritarian, passionate, principled), Gangrel (survivalist, animalistic, scrappy), Toreador (artistic, flamboyant, seductive), Nosferatu (very ugly), Malkavian (insane, visionary, insightful), and Ventrue (aristocratic, arrogant, organised).

Which clan would your character fit into best?

Lois: Bruja
Anakin/Vader: Malkavian (no one said the vision was good...)
R2-D2: Brujah

Derius and Tavi are both (unsurprisingly, considering) Ventrue. They would be Brujah except for the bit where while they are oddly anti-authoritarian in the long term--setting up Alera to Have No Aristocracy One Day When It Won't Get Eaten By Vord If That Happens--in the short term they're, uh, not best pleased with people trying to undermine them while they clean up one apocalypse/prepare for another. (Tavi's father and grandfather are way more Ventrue than either Tavi or Derius; his mother's family are mostly Brujah, as Kitai probably is as well.)

Very interesting and nostalgic topic...and I lol'd at the Nosferatu description. And what, no Tremere?

Sabine: Very tempted to go with Toreador, but I think she's really Brujah
Tybalt would have to be Gangrel
Viv: Malkavian
Jessica: Gangrel
Ben: Nosferatu since he sees himself as a monster.

Dog doesn't quite fit, but I could see Malkavian...maybe? Ventrue miiiight be an argument since she's part of the powers that be?

To be fair, the Tremere we like Venture if they were cultists, so it's not a huge miss. ;p

Amascut is somewhere between Brujah and Malkavian.

I have no idea what Fairy Fixit fits into though. She has major NPC energy in this situation.

Knowing only what's above, Klaus is in Toreafor generally, but fights like hes in Gangrel.

Yamato is a Gangrel, there's really no question about it.

Snufkin: Brujah or Gangrel (but a very chill one)

This brings back so many memories, I spent far too much of high school involved in Vampire: the Masquerade. I'm going to be adding my thoughts about the other World of Darkness worlds since I played them all kind of around the same time. Also great excuse to use my Changeling icon, I do miss playing Tiwa sometimes.

Cassian would be Brujah though actually he'd be better suited to being a werewolf in that world.

Quentin would be Ventrue though being in Changeling would be more accurate.

Sameth would actually be Tremere since they're the mage vampires.

Moist would be a Toreador.

Demeter, I can't make Demeter fit in this, she's too much herself.

Charles would be Ventrue but with a touch of Malkavian.

Will Scarlett would be Brujah.

William Evans would be Gangrel.

Ivan would be Ventrue.

Tumnus, another one I can't make fit.

Bastion: Gangrel. Probably hangs out with the Nosferatu sometimes too; they can relate.
Aradia: Brujah, particularly in her earliest chronological appearances.
Cirava: Toreador
Thurlow: Brujah also
Wilson: Maybe Gangrel? He's hard to place and this system doesn't really do hybrids.

Gabriel is Ventrue? Maybe? Reaper is probably closer to Gangrel and Malkavian.

Khadgar is more Malkavian and Brujah.
