Monday DE: Desserts Spelled Backwards

Well that has most certainly been yet another Monday...

For what are obviously entirely unrelated reasons: how does your character deal with stress? What signs would others pick up on when they're under stress? (For example: I go hyper-femme. If I'm in a matching dress and high heels, and if I've bothered to put makeup on, either I'm going out-out or I'm stressed as hell.)

Cecil tends to get overwhelmed and start not doing things. Not putting effort into his outfits, not making food and relying heavily on takeout, not managing to give full condolences for the latest tragic loss of intern life... he becomes a very sad puppy.

Klaus... well, he medicates his main source of stress straight to hell. So he's kinda always under stress. It'll be interesting to see what non-stressed Klaus even looks like.

Jonathan gets Even More Bitingly Snarky. Full steam ahead and damn the torpedoes levels of snark. He is entirely capable of being calm, kind, and reasonable... just not while stressed. He also fails to sleep well, so I imagine he looks like seven shades of hell.

...

He also becomes the most paranoid man on the planet, but it's not paranoia if something is really hunting you.

Wilson makes a lot more mean comments and doesn't take care of his appearance as much. (Someone from his time and place on Earth might crack a joke here about not being able to tell, since he does the bare minimum in terms of socially acceptable clothing choices and has an idiosyncratic hairstyle, but he has his own standards that he cares about maintaining.) If his hair is a frizzy uneven mess and he's got stubble all the time from not shaving properly he's probably having a bad week, or a bad month, and he might take it out on you without thinking.

Bastion gets gloomy and avoidant, I think; they'll just make themself scarce. I don't think they ever really get to zero stress but they can definitely get more stressed than their baseline.

Thurlow has a really hard time sleeping, has nightmares when they do, and gets irritable from both the original stress and the poor sleep.

Cirava withdraws from the world and hides that this is what they're doing.

Not sure what's distinctive about how Aradia reacts to stress. Possibly she's good enough at masking it that most of her friends have difficulty telling when she's really stressing out about something.
