Wednesday DE: Threat Level Alpha

How does your character respond to threats to their safety? What about threats to other people's safety?

Anakin kills things a lot. In both cases.

R2 goes to fairly extreme lengths in the case of others and runs tf away if it's him.

Lois usually dares threats to her to come get her and dives headlong into things if others are threatened. Clark is very frustrated by this, and also turned on. It's a problem.

Derius and Tavi have pretty similar responses. Threats to them they'll... take seriously but not actively neutralize. Threats to others, neutralize, immediately. Neutralize does not necessarily mean kill! They like negotiating. Tavi has a particularly dumbass history of trying and usually--but not always--succeeding at negotiating with enemies and then making stupid Persuasion checks and getting a new ally, because Tavi. Neutralize may mean something way more painful than dying, too. Especially in Tavi's case. Derius is generally gentler.

They do try to be less murderous than Anakin.

Amascut will flounce in spectacular fashion when dealing with threats to herself. Threats to others? She might say something like "sucks to be you" before flouncing, with the exception being if the threat looks like interesting prey to her.

Fairy Fixit is fairly dangerous, since dealing with a cordyceps-like infection or a teleporter accident after a bad interaction with her is always a possibility. Will she defend others? Well, depends on who they are; I think she takes a utilitarian approach to making those sorts of decisions.
