Friday DE: Test Drive

Let's do a test drive, open to anyone who is part of Milliways or those who are thinking of joining. So grab your friends and drag them in!

I was thinking to make it even more user friendly we'll run it like the Dear Mun/Dear Player comms. If you aren't familiar, basically you leave a note from the character to the player. It can be anything from directing (Can you pick out a PB already) to declarations (I am so excited to be going somewhere!)

I'll make a sample post here in a second to clarify. Characters are encouraged to talk among themselves, especially if they see a note they sympathize with.

ETA: For the record, consider this open all weekend.

Dear Mun: While I would never dissuade research, I must caution you against spending too much time in the small details the author of my world hasn't even revealed. Writing me is more important than how much grain is harvested in the Southern reaches of Domtar.

Such details are useful and fun to discover, but that is more my thing than yours.

Dear Mun:
First of all, can I say how wonderful and terrible it is to find out someone is writing your life? There, that out of the way. Now, we all know that the next few months in Night Vale are... well. They aren't going to be pleasant, are they? For anyone, I mean. For anyone from Night Vale, specifically. Some other people will be fine, I'm sure. Until they're not. You know, eventually, we'll be all back to normal again. Except those not from Night Vale.

But waiting for an entire year to get around to actually writing through those few months won't make it any better!

Go on. It's not like it's Street Cleaning Day or anything.

Dear Mun: I agree that it's cool that I got to be in my own game. And the lore that came out of it is... interesting, to say the least. I can see why that might make you interested in playing me again.

But here's the thing: that Alyx in the game? That's not me. Not even close. I'm done with all that. I already saved the world, saved the universe, even. I neither need nor want to go back to that in the name of addressing canon. Especially if it means dealing with that fucker in the suit that everyone calls the "G-Man."

I have a colony to run, and children to raise. Please just let me keep doing that.
