Monday DE: Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate.

Ugh. Is it really Monday, Milliways? Again? This doesn't seem fair.

(Guess who has two thumbs and slept like crap...)

Okay guys let's do this, let's gooooooooo (if I can get the wording right)!

Somewhat inspired by the Star Wars All Skate: How does your character deal with their emotions? Do they try to repress strong feelings? Is their every thought clear on their face? Do they use their emotions as fuel or do they let their passions rule them - or do they pretend they don't feel anything at all?

Yes, today's icon choice was deliberate.

Jon likes to pretend he has it all together, that he's above it all - like Elias, but less posh and... slick.

It's a lie, it's such a lie, it falls apart within 0.05s of meeting anybody.

Cecil doesn't even pretend - there isn't an emotion he doesn't embrace whole-heartedly. Most of the time he tries to modulate it a bit when he's on-air, if only for professionalism, but sometimes it's more like 'buckle up kids, and welcome to the show.'

Klaus... .............................. is actually the most actually restrained of the three? Bizarrely? Both because the drugs are a wonderful numbing agent, so he has access to only a few emotions most of the time and all of them much quieter and because he's been taught from a very young age that Some Responses Aren't Allowed. He might act out, but there's no emotion driving it - he can abandon a tantrum mid-shout and quiet down without a hair turned.

Ahsoka - As a padawan she struggles with maintaining the detachment expected of the jedi, or at least the emotional detachment as it is presented to her by any jedi except her masters. She does struggle with not leaping into things because of her emotions and also because she enjoys a good thrill. As an adult, she has moved past the dogma or expectations she perceived the Order held and has accepted that being mindful of your feelings isn't being detached from them, but instead accepting them and not just acting on them. Knowing how you feel and then thinking on how best to act.

Sabine - She is totally calm and cool as Hoth. Or at least that's the look she's going for. She can explode into emotional tirades but those are usually reserved for major things.

Ben Haargreeves - With Reginald's training, I am sure "conceal, don't feel" is the modus operandi. Ben didn't always succeed in this and can often be seen sulking in many photographs.

Jess - While I am sure maintaining a cool head was a part of her training, she sure doesn't do that now. Still, she is level headed enough to get the job done no matter how pissed off she gets.

Viv - Due to a lot of emotional trauma that she's experienced in her few years of awareness, she has turned off her emotional processors (I headcanon that there is bleed over and the shut off isn't complete.)

Tybalt - As a king, or should I say as the type of king Tybalt wishes to be, he must maintain control of himself at all times. He is aware of his emotions and can use them to fuel what needs doing, but he is not usually controlled by them.

Barry - Barry definitely lives with his heart out on his sleeve. He's okay having emotions and expressing them, and talking about them, his own or others. Letting his heart guide him is a strength and weakness for Barry, because while it does mean he strives to do what's right and has an ocean's worth of optimism and hope, it can also blind him and make him act without really thinking and both of those can and do land him in trouble.

Cisco - Cisco does live with a lot of emotions, but he's also guarded in ways. He can and will open up to those who are close to him, but he also has a penchant for using humor and antics to deflect some of the more serious thoughts and feelings. When things get too 'real' he'll joke, use sarcasm or a pop-culture plug-in, or dance around a subject and it can give the impression that he doesn't take things seriously. For the really truly important things though, Cisco is a man who is okay to cry or let his feelings show.

Matt - AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Matt doesn't deal with his emotions, he bottles them up and let's them destroy his relationships and himself. He runs, thrives and survives on his anger, 'letting the devil out' being his main go-to method of expressing himself.

Logan - Logan has his rage on a tighter leash these days and while it doesn't show in any sort of obvious manner, Logan feels deeply and somehow manages to convey that to those who matter. I love his conversations with X because there is always so much said between them with very little words spoken.
