The computer tells me it's Monday again.
I'm going to trust the computer.

As a reminder: Apps are now a rolling affair. We're adhering to the 10 Registered Character rule for the time being.
Anything played in an All Skate is not subject to the 10 Registered Character rule, because...those characters don't have to be actual members of the Community.

I'm thinking of adding a one-a-week All Skate, and drafting up some solid guidelines that folks can reference.
If you have any questions, I'll leave a spot for them in the comments.

I'll also leave a spot for suggestion for future All Skate locations. So share with me the fruits of your brainmeats.

The Contact List and Character List should be up-to-date, but as mistakes happen, maybe take a looksee and check your own data.
There are instructions on both pages as to how to submit any corrections you might have.

I feel like once-a-fortnight might work better for All-Skates, once a week just seems like a lot of all-skating, and like people might get burned out on them, whereas once every fortnight is a pleasingly medium amount. But that's just my thoughts on it, people might disagree.

I 100% agree with what Eric thinks, with the additional thoughts that the All-Skates are super overwhelming, it kind of sucks to have things that are entirely AU to the normal course of events in Bar be a huge proportion of threads you're in, and that it feels like regular old EPs might get overshadowed by the constant All-Skates, which also sucks.

Personally, when I'm not involved in the All-Skate (usually due to feeling super overwhelmed), it also ends up feeling very lonely when it's what everyone's talking about and threading in, and like I'm boring for sit one out.

Adding another voice of agreement. They can be fun but spacing them out can make them have more impact. And since the threads tend to last a while, more than one a week could be a bit much.

I think we might have had two the week of May the Fourth and the lake one definitely was smaller than the May the Fourth. Also since the All Skates are bringing in new/old players, don't want the Bar itself to be forgotten.

Actually this kind of happened with Cubefall, there were some posts but the All Skate ended up being more.

What's the fourth voice of agreement? I love the All Skates and I think they are the best idea to come to Milliways for some time. I do worry having them too often would lead to burn out or too much of a good thing.

I love that they are bringing back old folks and giving new voices a chance at play in our setting with our comm. I think having them every 2 weeks as Eric suggests is a good idea! Each All Skate thread seems to last about that long anyway.

Yeah, I don't think there's a high enough average number of regular EPs per week for All Skates not to crowd them out if there was one every week. I don't EP anywhere near weekly myself and I don't think most of us do.

I would love an All-Skate every two weeks; I might have an ancient Chinese fantasy almost-zombie moving into my brain & asking me to take him to Milliways, whom I'd love to pitch into the next one, just to see how he's doing with random people...

Okay, from the depths of Bat's brain I offer suggestions:

1. Dance party! I'm listening to Pitbull right now so my brain is definitely imagining a club style scene, but there are many ways for something like this one to go, from rave to line dancing.

2. After the outdoor funtiem posts maybe take advantage of some of Milliway's indoor fun spots? Pool party? Something down in the garage? Or maybe just a bar scene that opens up (and describes so people know what's there) the amenities such as karaoke, billiards, darts, maybe a card game or shot tourney or something?

3. Foods of the multiverse. Back in my college days the university hosted a World's Food Fair one time and basically you wandered around one of the gyms and could sample foods from different countries. Maybe a similar setup where pups could share foods from wherever/whenever they are? Or alternatively, maybe Bar and the rats handle the whole setup and people can be free to have their pups run into whatever they want, blue milk from Star Wars, chocolate frogs from Harry Potter, Kep-mok bloodticks from Galaxy Quest, etc.

4. Battle Royale. A horde of NPC baddies (zombies, demon chickens, Outriders, those damn Minecraft silverfish, ninjas?) drop in and people do what they do, whether that's fighting, hiding, or wreaking havoc. Or, one big bad like with the Balrog, but I'm not sure how that one works out logistically unless someone decides to play them in all the threads.

5. County Fair. I know one of these used to be run in Milliways, but for the purposes of the All Skate there would be no sign-ups or judging things necessary. Food, fair rides, petting zoo and games.

Those are the ideas I've got right now. Time for more coffee and I should probably get back to work.

P.S. thank you for doing the All Skate, I haven't always had the brain/energy/time to jump in, but they are still giving me Life <3

Also, I love the idea of a massive ball pit somewhere. Maybe that can be a county fair thing.

What about a nice quiet all-nighter in the library?
