Wilson is, canonically, a pretty bad singer. Observe. (Wormwood's not in this video because he hadn't been released yet. He's in this one though.) I also once drew him playing an electric guitar shaped like a Ham Bat, so maybe that.
Edited (i'm inconsistent with wormwood's pronouns but i try to at least stick to the same one within a paragraph) 2020-07-21 08:54 (UTC)
My headcanon is that Hera has a very lovely singing voice, though it's pretty unpracticed as she usually only uses it if she's certain no one else is around. Except maybe Chopper.
I don't think Kanan had time for much musical training, but if he were going to try I'd imagine him going for a stringed instrument like a quetarra or hallikset.
Zuko plays Tsungi horn quite well, canonically, and has a decent singing voice. He would probably pick up another thing in the horn family, but honestly, he wouldnt' learn much because he's TOO BUSY BEING KING.
Zenigata can canonically play a recorder if you take any of Part 2 as canon (and I take some) but he can't sing for shit. If he had to pick up a new instrument he'd be hard pressed to choose one, but it would probably be the shakuhachi flute, since he's already got a woodwinds background.
Klaus picks up the kazoo. Mostly so he can wander around making kazoo noises at people. No, he doesn't try to actually play anything, just... kazoo noises. Sometimes emphatic kazoo noises.
I can see Cecil trying to pick up the guitar, though I don't know how good at it he'd be. Mostly this is because there's two songs one of the WTNV creators wrote that play during the Weather, and both have guitar, and they're SUCH Cecil/Carlos songs, so. Also, you can wallop someone pretty good with a guitar, at least once.
That, or he decides he's going to play the bagpipes, because ain't NOBODY smiling when a newbie decides to play the bagpipes at 2am. Right outside of Kevin's apartment. He has no interest in actually becoming good at this, he just wants something that's designed to make an unholy amount of noise, and is easy to play badly.
It's pretty solid fanon that Jon Sims was at one point in a college band, and played base and was the lead vocalist. This would be because his voice actor (and writer of the show) Jonny Sims (yes, they learned NOTHING from the Cecil-Cecil problem of WTNV) is part of a 'neo-folk' band called The Mechanisms (which may have just disbanded? Tragedy?). Here's our boy. Jonny, stop shooting archivists, okay? Please? Anyway, my point is Jon Sims can sing, and sing well, and what I really need from this podcast is for Martin Blackwood to find that out.
The funniest for Amascut would be a tragic tendency to start caterwauling whenever she attempts to sing but -- no, I don't think music and her get along. The most musical that she gets is maybe knocking over pots that have different natural pitches. But setting up such a thing, especially if a nice melody results would be so labor intensive that I can't see it happening unless she was doing it to spite someone. I could also see her playing the rebab out of spite. It's as loud as a banjo, except it's a fiddle.
I am tempted to say a wood or bone whistle for Fairy Fixit but at her size it would be too high pitched for human hearing. Percussion might be the way to go for her.

Sabine: I think she'd choose a keyboard or other electronic instrument, but I think the symbols or drums would be up her alley as well.
Viv: She'd likely do best with a piano or violin.
Jessica: A guitar. Not sure if it's classical or not though. I can see her loving Flamenco.
Tybalt: I think a penny whistle or a recorder.

Kylo, I'm thinking drums. He'd get to hit a lot of stuff. His singing is probably average.
Creed has trouble with most instruments because of his claws, but he's be a guitar guy. Folky kind of stuff. He can also sing very well.
