Wednesday DE: Archie-Tights

After a few days with even less sleep than usual, I am drawing a complete blank on words and questions and stuff, so let's try something very broad that people can use as a springboard for rambling about stuff: What character type would you say your pup is, and what's their role in the narrative?

Zenigata is literally a trope namer: Sympathetic Inspector Antagonist. He's there to be a foil to Lupin, occasionally the enemy or far more often the help, handling the legal end of things once Lupin foils a or providing legitimate support to an otherwise illegitmate enterprise.

Surprisingly, Zuko is in a very similar sympathetic antagonist slot, but his redemption story -- one of the literal best in media -- makes sure he becomes a great protagonist in his own right. When people talk about ATLA, they most frequently talk about Zuko. Aang's quest was a pretty by the number's hero's journey, but Zuko's story arc was honestly more emotional and more in depth than Aang. (Aang's 12, it's okay.)
