Wednesday DE: Have you ever heard the tale of Darth Vectivus the Boring?
What would it take for your character to join their canon's proverbial 'dark side' or become a villain? Alternately, if your character is already a villain, what would it take to set them on a path to redemption?

We did though write a Mirrorverse Star Trek AU where Kanan at least started out serving an evil empire, so. Maybe if he's raised in it.
For Hera, I've already said that on the scale of Saw Gerrera to Mon Mothma, she's two steps from Saw. And Saw Gerrera isn't a villain, but he definitely engages in some morally tenuous to outright reprehensible tactics, and most exemplifies the idea of a rebel whose primary goal is hurting the Empire (you know, more fighting what we hate than saving what we love). So I can imagine a version of Hera that has experienced enough loss and discouragement and powerlessness that her priorities shift and she loses or at least lessens the compassion and kindness that, for right now, she makes a concerted effort to maintain.
We did also thread a 'darkest timeline' AU that imagines a much more successful Empire and a more ruthless Hera that draws some influences from, um, the Joker from The Dark Knight, but I wouldn't go so far as to call her a villain in it.
