Really wanna turn these around for whoever tags in so I'm gonna keep it to just the two to help my brain along.
Barry Allen
Matt Murdock
Multiple prompts are also helpful to me for a better chance of something catching and turning into something for you. With that said feel free to give me anything; lyrics, words, first lines, I might even attempt an AU prompt if there's one you'd like to see.
Come at me, y'all!
(I've... had a lot of coffee this morning. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!)

Where do we begin? The rubble or our sins?
You don't have to be so brave tonight
My heart's unnattached, my door is on latch
Barry: You don't have to be so brave tonight | You got them, I got you
Crouched down behind his car, Joe slouches even lower under the frightening sound of bullets thudding into metal just overhead. To his left is a police cruiser, already shot to hell with two uniformed officers laying on their bellies on the pavement, arms covering their heads and looking towards him, desperate for help.
To his right, hunkered behind a rear tire is his partner Eddie Thawne. A young and always eager detective, Eddie right now is just as scared and anxious as the other two, looking to Joe for guidance or a plan or something in this situation that has quickly become impossible.
Joe's gun is nearly empty and his palms are sweaty as he clutches his weapon and tries hard to gather himself to make the next move and get these people out of here.
Bullets ping and glass shatters and he can hear gravel crunch as the shooters close in. Four gunmen, he has maybe five bullets, and one chance to make it so the men with him go home tonight.
"When I go, you all run," Joe instructs Eddie.
"Joe, wait-- " Eddie says urgently.
Shutting his eyes, Joe's heart is thudding against his chest and he takes in one, two, three quick breaths and his last thoughts before he starts to move are of his kids; Iris and Barry.
Joe rises, arms steady, finger on the trigger and ready to pull when the sight in the middle of the street stops him.
The war zone he's been stuck in the last five minutes has gone dead silent and that's because the four remaining shooters out of eight who started this mess are now knocked out and handcuffed in the middle of the street at the feet of the man dressed in red.
Looking over, the Flash's expression looks just as anxious as Joe's must be, and it breaks into relief when both of their eyes meet.
"It's okay, detective. I've got them," the Flash says, and even though his voice is vibrating as a way to conceal his identity, Joe can hear Barry underneath those words.
Joe gives a nod to Barry and Barry returns it before whooshing off in a red blur while the cops around Joe start to pick themselves off the ground and Joe slowly holsters his weapon.

Barry: perfect coffee, her smile, lost
Matt: rites, proper order, what I need
Barry: her smile | Time can stop around her
Dazzling and warm, it takes his breath away every time. Knowing it's for him, it makes his heart soar.
It's enough of a distraction that he doesn't realize she's saying something to him. It isn't until she laughs and bumps her shoulder against his before he realizes there's a question for him hanging in the air.
"Huh? Oh, uh-- yeah, Chinese food sounds great," Barry says, coming back to himself and taking Iris's arm which she's been holding out to him for a minute now.
She laughs again and slides her hand over his forearm as they head out.
"Glad you think so," she says, amused.
"So, you wanna eat local, or should I… " he offers with a grin.
Shining that smile again, she looks up at him and shakes her head fondly.
"How about we take it slow tonight, speedster? I'm sure you know a great place in Beijing but, I kinda like just walking along with you," Iris says, leaning into him.
Smiling down at her, Barry rests his cheek against her temple and gladly accepts her request.
"That works for me. I like walking with you, too," he tells her, more than happy to slow it down for these moments with her.

With a shock, Cordelia realizes she's crying too. Guess Rosetta wasn't the only one who needed to say goodbye.
The belonging of misfortune
But now...now she is tired. There is no more to fight and only debt.

Waiting
At least Ord Martell was good for hiding, the patrol went out of ear shot but he still waited. His shoulder was starting to ache from the angle he was holding his arm, but this was the best way to be fully hidden.
Re: Waiting
One more round
Raj glared, his eyes somehow going cattier as he flopped across Quentin's lap with a thump. "Nope, three more games and you can text him to tell him you're going to be late. Or he can come here. I bet I could beat him."
"No, go do something with Helen," Though maybe they were on the outs at the moment, Quentin couldn't keep track.
Raj did another sigh/hiss thing as he adjusted his position before turning into a cat. Now Quentin sighed and reached for his phone to tell Dean that Raj was being a cat lump and this might take longer than he thought.
Someone's awake
In Oxford, the world was never truly quiet, someone was always awake somewhere. Especially in the various libraries, in the deep of night, Charles could find someone's studying to soothe him back to sleep.
The mansion felt alive once again with the training and Charles slept better than he ever had as he knew he wasn't alone. One night, he'd found Erik awake and Charles was able to remind him that he wasn't alone either.

Gold forgets
Gold lumps were always easy to sew into a seam for insurance against anything. No one would ever be able to trace it since gold easily forgot what he had once been.
