Sorry today's DE is a little on the late side, sleeping in just felt so good....

Okay, so do your characters have a type? Do you have a character type?

/stares in Paladins And Protectors, Usually Good Parents, with a side of misunderstood assholes who are trying to be better, aka the Riddler when I play him. 99% of my characters are also disaster bis.

NO I DON'T HAVE A TYPE AT ALL.

AT! ALL!

Lan Zhan is the very defintion of the Single Target Sexuality trope. His type is bad boy Wei Wuxian.

Zenigata's type is Lupin -- he likes to be the Big Spoon, the broad shouldered dependable partner, and he's not much for men who are more masculine than he is. Face it, except for his brief affair with his senpai at Interpol, he's into twinks when it comes to men, and strong-willed, short women. Basically if you're short and lithe he's into that. Henri was his only Tall Man love affair.

Zuko's type is no.

I don't know if I have any particular type. I know there are certain themes and ideas I specifically like seeing explored, but that can manifest in many extremely different ways in different media without much more consistency than kind of 'that specific thing in particular as I read it.' I think sometimes I can gravitate toward the character who gets sort of assigned as the 'mom' or 'mom friend' but... also sometimes super not!

I'd say all of them have parental issues but... that's basically every fictional character so.

Phoenix goes for graceful, confident, in both men and women (see: Edgeworth, Dahlia, and MAYBE Kristoph)

Gaster likes men who are sensible, someone who can pull him away from work and get him to open up a bit (see: Asgore (and maybe Grillby, a little bit)

Snufkin doesn't really have a type, per se - if you're chill and let him do his thing, he's cool with you.

Urania's type is SCIENCE.

My characters tend to be "flawed but trying."

John's type is "of age and has a pulse."

Sherlock's type is Jim.

My character type apparently is at least two of 'nonhuman, Just Say No To The Gender Binary, from a video game, and from a fairly obscure canon'.
