It’s Wing Day at Milliways. What’s  Wing Day? Why it’s when every patron gets a pair of wings for the day. 

So, what kind of wings do you pick for your pups? The can be anything from wings on their back to their arms being shifted to wings to just a pair of costume wings to whatever. Also, what type of wings are they; bird, bat, insect, etc.?

Like, Taichi obviously gets dragon wings, and Sora obviously gets bird wings, and Koushiro insect wings, and Takeru and Hikari angel wings, because those are the things they're associated with. Mimi can easily get some cool leaf wings, and Jyou some gnarly tentacle wings to fit their plant and sea creature themes respectively. But there's no way to get wings themed on 'furred land mammals.'

So let's say he has crystalline ice wings, to fit his ice element. Do they allow him to fly? Improbably, yes.

Unfortunately, Digimon counts any mammal that flies as being part of Sora's bird sphere, for reasons known only to the designers and also possibly whoever was responsible for teaching them taxonomy.

Dragon wings for Zuko, straight up. That's his jam, that's his eventual companion Druk, that's him. Dragon dragon dragon.

Lan Zhan? Snowy owl. Deceptively soft looknig, still incredibly strong, and owl wings have special fibers in them that render them silent in flight. Perfect for Lan Zhan.

Zenigata has the white-capped wings of a Steller's Sea Eagle. They are the heaviest of eagles, befitting out beefy inspector, with an impressive span of three meters across -- and on a man Zengata's size, that'd probably double easily to 6-7 meters, about a 20ft wing span, maybe more! but He Big so the wings gotta be He Big size too.

Gamora - Huge fucking black dragon wings. They are awesome. So good. So much better than Nebula's wings.

Dinah - Canary wings. They're okay, but she spends her time with them folded over her shoulders to keep her warm. She does try flying with them, but it turns out flapping is hard work.

Dick gets big brown feathers under his own arms like a robin's but not quite. He is awesome at flying. So good. You'd think he's been flying since forever.

Fives - big metallic glider wings and a mandalorian jet pack and he adds some adaptations and it's great.

Simba becomes a griffin and he loves it thanks.

Obi-Wan says thank you but no thank you. He hates flying.

More seriously though this is a neat idea for an actual Milliways "holiday". I just need to stop Amascut from painting anti-Saradomist RIP AND TEAR propaganda signs in my head now.

Sariel gets functional, proportional bird wings. I'm torn between giving her the plumage of her Millicanonical daemon, who is a Lucian house wren, or a more colorful pair in leaf green, sunny yellow, and lavender, possibly with hints of the starry in patterning. Hmm.

Lois: Honestly feels just like costume wings for some Halloween thing. No idea what kind, I think she lost a bet to someone. Probably Devin, Maddie, or Clark. Lucy laughs her head off. EDIT: Clark insists she gets ones that are purple like her eyes.

Desiderius: Eagle, white, probably with a little bit of like fade into some red and blue.

Tavi: Black, probably some very dark sheens of blue and red to some of them, and I genuinely can't decide if he's got a crow because him/First Aleran-stuff or the standard eagle wings of the House of Gaius (most of them, certainly the First Lords).

Anakin: Iiii don't know, actually. Vaguely tempted to say krayt dragon wings, probably dark color.
Vader: If they exist, they're basically like fallen aasimar and underneath any and all armor because they don't work. Very tempted to say in a SW AU with wings, he doesn't have any, and is still that much more terrifying and capable.

R2-D2: He has rocket boosters, thank you very much.

Wei Wuxian - Raven's wings... though I will entertain a redwing blackbird, if only for aesthetic purposes. I will also entertain the idea of a barn swallow's wings, for maneuverability.

Klaus - Blue banded Eggfly Butterfly wings - just a bit of that electric blue, and the species is more active at night :)

Jon - Polyphemus Moth, for Spoilerific Reasons. Also Moth!Jon.

Cecil - has wings. Wait. Does he?

Ahsoka gets white angel griffin wings which grow from her back and do not inhibit her fighting at all. She can fly with them if she chose and she loves them.

Sabine gets the wing arm treatment and the feathers are specked brown like a wren's. She itches to dye and paint them until she happens to see them under black lights and realizes all the hidden colors.

Jess gets her classic spider-wings but they are larger and more like that of flying squirrels.

Tybalt gets costume bat wings as thanks to canon I can't force a physical transformation on him.

Viv gets holographic solid light wings that mimic butterfly wings in structure.

Alustin gets real dragonfly wings, since in canon he flies via paper dragonfly wings he makes with his magic.

Wen Qing I am thinking gets crane wings on her back.

Ben...I just don't know. Maybe something like the dumbo squid or vampire squid? Wings that are fleshy and cloak like? Oh maybe like how the wings were in Gargoyles!

Bone wings for Gaster, maybe slightly bat-like.

Urania gets the standard white angel wings, as gods are often given in Renaissance art.

Phoenix gets the coolest - phoenix wings! Big, feathery, and on fire.

Snufkin gets brown bird wings, like a hawk. A bit drab, but very freeing.
