What is the most stressful thing your character has ever waited? How do they handle the stress of interminable waits?
And how do they express relief when it's over?
i am so tired

Zuko waited for the Avatar to show up for years. When he found him the chase was on and he never got "relief" per se. But they did get a victory for the world, and he got to hug his uncle and celebrate a the dust settled before moving into his new stressful occupation as Fire Lord.
Lan Zhan waited sixteen years to hear something from Wei Ying's spirit. Then he just showed up. What did he do? Go ride or die. Then acknowledge Wei Ying's needs, and back off so the guy could go get his head on straight. Novel Lan Zhan, uh, didn't wait anymore once everything was settled and celebrated by wild sex in a bush. So, you know, he seeks tension relief after stress, and he needs it to be physical...

Jon... also hasn't had many waits? The two I can think of off the top of my head, he was an Actual Prisoner, so he wasn't handling it well, but he was also being tortured? So.
Klaus' longest wait (so far) was the wait to be let out of the mausoleum by his 'dad'. And he celebrated his release by discovering alcohol, so... um. Yeah. Well done.
Cecil's longest wait is when Carlos is in the Desert Otherworld, and... um. He handles it so poorly. TBF, he'd just come out of dealing with a murderous corporation that tried to kill/maim/destroy everything he loves about his town, imprisoned nearly everyone in a work camp, and tried to hurt his niece. He didn't start from the greatest place, but the depression hits strong and deep. I'm pretty sure his show was off the air for a week after Carlos came home.
