Early DE and kind of shouts

Hey all, I'm not going to do shout outs as there haven't been that many new posts since my last one and with Thanksgiving coming up in the US, time is weird. Don asked me to do something for the DE as he's going to be busy tomorrow.

So let's make this a rec post for all sorts of things. What are you enjoying watching, reading, listening to? Any plot ideas that you want to throw around and see if someone's interested? Thinking of apping someone?

I got nothing, but I'm ready for anything.

Actually, I do have somethings: At some point Zuko's going to come through with his baby half-sister who is like, 5. Not sure how/when yet, but she's going to come in and say hi and then be escorted back home.

Also, Zengiata's grief has been channeled away from "so how about necromancy" but he's still going to do sad murder dad grief beards and probably just... start building a dojo as a hobby while processing some shit. Also, his birthday is Christmas, so that's coming up.

Lan Zhan is going to be going through canon; he's going to have Lan Sizhui with him a couple of times before he grows to old, but the next time anybody sees him at least two years will have passed. Then it's just him with some occasional appearances, while we move through canon, rescue Wen Qing, and then eventually have his dramatic reunion with Wei Wuxian.

I have many plots I need to write out but I am on my phone as I wait for the mashed potatoes to cook before heading to dinner.

I am contemplating three different pups but haven’t done my brainstorming pros and cons yet so I am not sure which I’ll settle on.

First, go watch Queen's Gambit on Netflix. It is amazing but warnings for addiction and poor treatment of woman since it is set in the 50s/60s.

I've also heard good things about The New Mutants though I haven't seen it. The person who liked or at least said it was better than they expected said it was better than the Apocalypse movie. Low bar I know, but I am looking forward to seeing Illyana.

Onto pups and plots:
Ahsoka: I honestly don't have much in mind for her, but feel like I should get on that since we have an OBW now. I also just watched The Mandalorian episode with her live action debut and I am mostly pleased.

Sabine: I am currently threading a bit with her wrapping up Protector of Concord Dawn. I do need to get more active with her, especially since season 02 and 03 have a lot of Mandalore in them.

Viv: No plot plans. She's more a canon hand-wave pup for me; especially since I'd have to figure out what she and the Champions were up to during Secret Empire if I did which would mean I'd have to read it.

Jess: I do need to outline her story arcs and get moving on those. I think I am likely to avoid the big Marvel cross-overs, but include the more personal cross-overs like Spider-Women.

Ben: He's kind of a hand-wave to canon type in my head. Mostly as he doesn't directly affect things being a ghost and all.

Alustin: I think I want to play around with him pre-canon for a bit which means I can run dungeon plot with Milliways folks since labyrinths are numerous in his world. I think I need to decide how many I want to run and how long I want to play him before I start working on his canon story so I can introduce other mun's to his canon.

Wen Qing: I need to catch up with canon mates as far as where she is and then run the AU rescue run. After that I mean to have her work in the Infirmary and get it back up as an active resource for people. Not that people seem to be missing it. :)

Tybalt: I think I want to brainstorm with Fi to see if we can come up with things that happened to our boys between books.

Gay Chinese Wizards are still owning my brain, and I'm just gonna throw out there into the universe, if someone's interested in The Untamed's Nie brothers, or a-Qing, or the juniors... c'moooon down.

Also, if someone was thinking of a Magnus Archives pup, I mean... you know you want to. :D I need to get Jon further through canon, so I can start playing with his... spoilers. Hi!

Or maybe Welcome to Nightvale - I need to get Cecil through canon, and re-start the monthly rogue radio show. 2020 hasn't been a good broadcasting year.

Or Umbrella Academy - I'm thinking of sending Klaus to Vietnam for Christmas, so... what up, UA muns!

Oooh, yes. He's gotta tell Five about (one of his) ex-boyfriend's cooking skills. Because that's the important thing right now.

I am all for this! I am also on the fence about if Ben went back in time with Klaus also. On one hand Ben could be bound in Milliways for that part of Klaus's life and on the other he can warn Klaus of danger in the jungle earning Klaus a wicked reputation for being a lucky guy or what not.

On one hand, excess drama for the boys to be separated for 10 months/a few hours when they haven't really been for years. And I do firmly believe he talked to his dead comrades in the jungle to keep out of trouble.

On the other hand, Ben in Vietnam! Watching Klaus fall head-over-heels for a hunk of pure grade-A American Beef and defy Vietnam war-era homophobia to Get Some.

Phoenix has started his Disbarment arc, so it's gonna be seven years of gathering evidence and info, condensed into (hopefully) a little less than that in real time.

Gaster is still working on his big Data Recovery project, so we'll see where that goes.

I've also apped a new character, and am awaiting the ok from the mods to start playing her. Stay tuned!
