Putting off AITA another week, so send those in! (Putting it off because whoops holiday cleaning and cooking ate me, because I super fail at realizing how calendars work this year.)

On which topic:

Candles!

Does your character like candles? What kind? Are they the aromatherapy type person, or incense? Ritual-related? Electric because they'd burn down their house if they tried actual flame type? etc. Birthday-cake only? Special shapes or colors, or very plain?

Extended to decorative lights of any kind/what candles are used for/etc. LIGHTS.

Brought to you by frantically trying to find the gayest candles I could at the supermarket.

Jon is Against Ignition Sources, especially in his archives. People (Tim) keep ignoring this. The hell. (he says, as a smoker, who probably has a lighter on his person at all times, hush)

Cecil likes candles, they're good for days there's a power outage or the sun fails to rise. They also look pretty in a Bloodstone Circle.

Wei Wuxian has a whole candle-based aesthetic going on - when he was living in the Burial Mounds Pt 2, he had candles burning on pretty much Every Available Flatish Surface for Aesthetic. It's truly impressive. He's committed to OWNING that whole 'Gremlin living in a Cave' theme.
