In which I ask you: your pup is a teacher in the above-mentioned High School AU. Are they a good teacher? What subject(s) do they teach?

I'm torn between biology and art, although it's more entertaining to picture the robot version of them teaching biology and the human version of them (tall, muscular, heavily scarred ex-military type missing their right forearm) teaching art. So it depends on whether this is a mundane-fantastic high school AU or a just plain mundane one. Also, while canonverse Bastion might need it pointed out to them that schoolteachers usually use a formal form of their name with their students, I like the idea of both versions going by Mx. Lindholm.

They're an OK teacher, but they don't talk much in either iteration, so it's a little difficult for them to connect with students.

Fun fact: I had a huge (6'5"-ish and burly), blond, ex-military, tattooed, Cockney, Textiles teacher. He was very shouty, but if you didn't muck him about he'd do anything for you and would spend hours after school patiently showing us how to make perfect dresses etc. He was also a trained sailor, deep-sea diver and jeweller: he let us watch him use the Resistant Materials equipment to make the wedding rings for him and his wife!

Sunshine is that really good teacher who is lucky that she only teaches Home-Ec as an elective, because otherwise she wouldn't have time for all the students who come by her classroom at other times of day for cinnamon rolls and much-needed chats. Some part of her would appreciate getting paid for all the Life Coaching she does on the side, but what she's really being paid in is happier, better-adjusted students.

Yrael is a shit band director because he resents not being allowed to focus on teaching only the students with actual talent like he wants (and it shows). UGHH.

Rumor teaches Communication and Rhetoric, and coaches the debate team, and oversees the Yearbook group, and organizes the daily announcements. She's not really well-liked by her students, but she is a very effective teacher.

Now I want to know if the music teacher and the theater teacher get along or if there is friction.

You know there'd be friction. They have to work together once a year to stage a musical and Yrael resents it mightily.

Rebels or later Ahsoka is a counselor and teaches a meditation class.

Sabine teaches art, naturally. There is a rumor that somewhere in her classroom is the Anarchist's Cookbook and extra credit is given to whoever finds it. No one has found it yet.

Jessica teaches Home and Economics, subs PE, and mentors the self-defense club.

Alustin is the librarian and subs for any class that needs it on short notice. He tends to be a popular sub as he makes any subject fun.

Tybalt teaches theater and everyone ends up enjoying the class, even those who hate theater. There are bets on how long he can monologue.

Wen Qing teaches biology and helps out in the Nurses office as well.

Zuko's got Civics.

Creed is the weird older guy who hangs out with teenagers.

Welcome to the most advanced chemistry course in your local high school. Invariably, he will blow something up at least once a semester... on purpose.

He's also in charge of robotics lab and has a working miniature version of Tony's robot Dum-E.
