Thursday DE: I've just taken one year of your life

I would like to get back to sleeping the night through and not waking up with an upset stomach or other bodily complaints please.

Anyway, since I seem to have murder on my mind, how likely is your pup to kill someone? Never? Is their first reaction? Last?

Yamato's been killing since he was eleven, and while it's not something he enjoys, he operates on the principle that if someone comes at him or anyone else with intent to kill, then they've tacitly accepted the possibility of being killed in return. Once someone's flipped the switch from 'not a target' to 'a threat to the lives of others who requires removing,' he's pretty dispassionate and ruthless about it, and in the books he remarks in his internal monologue that once someone's decided to kill, they should just kill, dispensing with any notions other than the efficient removal of a problem.

The fact that he's killed so many people is also one of the major reasons why he denies being a hero when people claim he is: As far as he's concerned, killing and heroism are completely incompatible, and the former has precluded him from the latter since he was a kid.

All of mine are killers. Mostly on purpose.

YT is likely to get into a situation where she ends up killing someone in self-defense. But she would never do it on purpose. She would try to avoid it. And it would really mess her up.

Abe no Seimei will try a lot of other things before he tries killing someone. He really does not like to do it, but recognizes that sometimes it has to be done.

Let’s put it this way, if you fuck with the people Murderbot cares about it will not even consider non-lethal solutions, unless its client tells it to.

Yrael: Epitomizes the "The likelihood of murder is low, but never zero" meme, though "low" possibly sounds more comforting than it should be. He'll kill on a whim, for fun, to help out a friend, out of necessity, for fun, if you threaten his favorite fishing spot, for fun... the possibilities are endless.

Max: What? No! She could never do that! Is there a way of preventing the need for someone to die? Let's do that instead? This is scary! Don't die! Spoilers: [There are, in fact, scenarios where Max would a)choose to not take actions that would prevent the deaths of innocent people, and b)actively take steps to cause someone to die for revenge.]

Sunshine: She would like to say 'never,' but it would be a lie, and she sucks at lying. She will kill out of necessity, and that's it. However, the kinds of situations she sometimes find herself in mean that less lethal options are sometimes not viable options.

Lan Zhan will kill in war and have little issue with it - he did in the Sunshot campaign. He won't jump to it, but it's an option if he must.

Zenigata will kill in the line of duty, but he will try every other possible take down first. liteally anything before he'll finally resort to lethal force. like lassos made of handcuffs.

zuko has never killed a person and never wants to. He'd like to keep it that way, and as fire lord it'll be easy.

Vex literally kills people all the time. He's used as a wetworks hitman by the Dark Fae. He kills people for money, and tries to enjoy his work -- it's not that he looks out for murder and violence, it's just always been a part of his life. He's never not had a time where he hasn't had to kill to survive.

Sara Lance and Allison Hargreeves in the yeah, without caring (until #ohgod later) category.
Jo Harvelle is a full-time yes, with qualifications about which people/'things' we should/shouldn't kill.

Audrey Parker, Steve McGarrett, and Kristin Ortega are all cops & military of a sort, with different rules/they and would like to not have to but will if they do (especially Steve, who really wouldn't mind it). Jean Grey would really, really r e a l l y like to avoid it if she can, and is willing to manipulate many things in the universe and a person's own body/mind first, but if hand was forced (especially at this point in the comics), yes.

This sweet innocent boy? Nope.

I mean - unless it's some alien and he tells Tony to vent the bitch into space. But - no.

Harry - ummmmm - demons n' shit, sure. He tries to not whack humans on purpose. Mortal authorities and all that.

Amascut, for a death goddess, strangely prefers to convince other people to murder than to actually do it herself. Maybe it is more efficient and self-sustaining that way? When she does do it herself, it is usually done out of frustration or to impress/instruct someone.

Fairy Fixit claims that it was an accident.

It takes a lot to make her accident-prone, though.
