Thursday DE: Mirror Mirror

Today is Mirror-verse day at Milliways. Based on the Star Trek idea of there being a mirror universe where everything about your character/self is flipped; good becomes evil etc.

Tell us about your character's new life.

Back during the Blackhawk comics days, Zinda Blake was captured and drugged by Blackhawk rogue Killer Shark. The drug did exactly this – flipped good to evil – and she became Queen Killer Shark and acted as the Blackhawks' nemesis for over a year in canon. As QKS, she commanded a bunch of henchmen, stole treasure, and plotted against the Blackhawks at every turn.

Also she wore a very questionable super-villainess costume, complete with tiny shark hat.

We actually did a Mirrorverse AU with Hera, Kanan, and Thrawn, though in that case we were working off the specific Star Trek "Mirrorverse" of the Terran Empire and alien rebellion, so Thrawn and Hera fell into the alien rebellion, and Kanan at least started out with the Terran Empire. (Though they were now both in the anti-fascist rebellion, Thrawn was still very Thrawn, and due to the circumstances, Hera also acted very Thrawn-ish.)

As for just straight up morally flipped, the version of Hera I'd imagine, while also still being that character, would be a version of her that has become entirely single-minded in war, lacking any of the moral inhibitions or inclinations toward compassion that Hera has now. (I mean, actually, and betraying my deep Hera-Thrawn narrative feelings, the closest thing I can imagine to the opposite of Hera would, well, be a lot like Thrawn.)

The obvious answer for Kanan would be a timeline where he was captured by the Empire and became an Inquisitor. Which I had trouble imagining before, but I can see it a little more after playing Jedi Fallen Order. And as in the Mirrorverse threads, I'd imagine a 'flipped' Kanan as someone who was instilled with, let's say, not-so-great values growing up.

I am seeing three ways Dark Side Ahsoka can work...

Option 01: When she was resurrected on Mortis, the influence of the Son was still planted within her and it slowly grew. The rest of her story in "The Clone Wars" continues as we see up until after the Siege of Mandalore when Anakin falls. The backlash within the Force, followed closely by the clones turning on her with Order 66, pushes her too far and she turns. Her presence is felt and she is hunted by Inquisitors but kills everyone that finds her, proving to be a growing thorn in Palpatine's side. One he is still deciding if it is worth the effort to convert to his side or not.

Option 02: Similar to above but Vader finds her first and she agrees to join him. They work together in secret to take down the Emperor. Not sure if Palps is aware of their conspiracy or not.

Option 03: Anakin's fall happens earlier, during the Siege of Mandalore when Maul is trying his damnedest to tempt Ahsoka. Because of the backlash of Anakin's Fall and the influence of the Son, Ahsoka accepts and the Crimson Dawn gets that much more powerful.

And I realized I failed to answer this as it was intended. This wasn't "what flip your pup but leave everything else the same."

So I guess the Jedi would have to be more Lawful Evil in practice, acting as judge/jury/executioner for the Republic. Sort of like the Judges in Judge Dread? The Sith would end up being the good guys, fighting for individual freedoms, though likely still skewed towards selfishness.

There is a mirrorverse in Smallville. Tess is raised by Lionel Luthor, he is also the one who finds Clark in the cornfield, and she has two brothers, Clark and Lex. Clark and Tess are in a relationship because of course. Tess is a lot like herself from the beginning of her time on Smallville, but hints at having a party type lifestyle. She dreams of her and Clark killing Lionel and then running away together. Instead, Tess upsets Lionel and he sends her of to be "taken care of." She goes by Lutessa in this world.

Peter: Is it even possible for Peter Parker/Spider-Man to go dark? (Just going by MCU here, my comics knowledge is ridonk smol.) leaving aside the fact that Tom Holland couldn't grow a goatee if you paid him the guy is a walking sunshine bomb. I suppose he could end up very 'mad scientist' and make things that would destroy the planet/civilization/etc. if we're going full opposite - he'd be a greedy asshole set on watching the world burn.
