(No, I'm not ill - just cheerful because for once I'm not in work on account of booking the day off work to hang out with my bestie.)

Who is your character's best friend? (Do they even have one? Would they want one if they could?) How did they become BFFs in the first place? And what would a Good Day hanging out with them look like?

For WWX:
- Best non-romantic friend is Nie Huaisang. They have similar tastes for mischief and wine and running circles around people less mentally nimble than themselves, and can waste a pleasant day together.
- Best friend period is Lan Zhan. However, it doesn't help that he has a ridiculous crush on the man and has since before the war. Lan Zhan deserved better in a previous life, and now is a mourning widower, so... he tries to keep it to himself. His crush isn't Lan Zhan's problem.

For Cecil: His best friend is Old Woman Josie, who has zero percent problem in calling Cecil on his shit and encouraging him to get out of his own way and, y'know, go talk to that cute scientist.

For Klaus: ... Ben. It's Ben. That's his friend. Brother. Person. Good news, soon he'll be making more friends! Bad news, he'll be making them in the middle of the Vietnam War, so that's... a thing.

For Jon: Sasha and Tim, even though they are horrible people who are horrible, and everything has been awkward with Sasha recently because she really ought to have his job but Elias insisted and... well. Here we are.

Sharon doesn't really have a best friend. In comics canon she's close with Natasha and Sam and in our OOMs she's very tight with Nakia, but she's a little bit of a loner otherwise. I think secretly she's quite envious of Bucky and Steve's friendship.

Zinda's best friend is Helena Bertinelli/Huntress, though they aren't quite there yet.

Geralt's best friend is Roach.

Peter's BFF is Ned Leeds. They Lego and Star Wars. Also - Ned is 'the guy in the chair' and claims 'looking at porn' when he gets caught in the PC lab during the school dance. XD

Harry? I think Michael, probably? Maybe Murphy. Hard to say b/c the guy has a bad habit of not getting close to people.

Ahaha well. Okay then. Short version, because otherwise... yeah.

Who: Steve Rogers.
How: In the MCU, Bucky and Steve grew up together in Brooklyn. They met when Bucky threw himself into a fight on Steve's side, while Steve was facing off against some bullies.
A Good Day: There are SO MANY options! (Really, any option that isn't a brainwashed Winter Soldier trying to kill his best friend is a good one for these two.) But three things that they both remember fondly are trips to Coney Island, watching baseball games, and going to the movies together.

(Watch me blithely ignore - for now - the canon that still lies ahead of Bucky from his current point in time in the bar. WATCH ME.)

Jean Grey: Ororo, Ororo, Ororo. They have an amazing friendship, that's never once been touched by death or age-reversals or anything ever, ever, ever.

Lady Marian: It's Caspian, and hilariously, it's basically been Caspian since like before his redacted death, when it was really more like "Marian's first actual friend." It's definitely best friend now, with extremely deep esteem. COUGH by which we mean quite obviously in love with. But, also, these two without a ship, could happily be the very best of friends the rest of their life as they are, supportive and esteeming.

Jo Harvelle: Rachel Barenson (from Animorphs), in both Milliways and in CRAU, though by different means each time. Girls from very different backgrounds, who both agree with the concept of a no holds barred fight again the darkness even if it requires you to die doing it. Especially if you're doing it so everyone else on your team won't have to take that fall.

Sara Lance: ... really does not have one. (The friend who knew her best both pre- and post-resurrection was Oliver Queen. #dead The person who would have burned the whole world down for her was her older sister Laurel. #verydead The next friend who might have gotten there was Kendra, but she's very gone now. Plus, her current girlfriend wouldn't know how to support or understand her if she was paid to.)
